It started when our parents met in College at The University of Nebraska. (GBR!). The amazing core family values instilled in Lincoln and Schuyler still drive our family today. Marriages have upgraded these core values and added an even more diverse view that strengthens our mid-west core in so many ways. It is this amazing family that started meeting today virtually via the World of Zoom. What a cool way to stay connected during these strange times of “Shelter in Place.” It allowed us to blow off some steam and remind each other that we all have each other’s backs. We laughed, shared some quality time and even played a few rounds of phone trivia! This is the first of more to come. Next time Kaity and Tanner, your in!
Love you guys!

My Dad would have been 89 today.....Boy it sure would have been interesting to have a discussion with him about this whole Covid-19 situation! Mom would have hated our “discussion” as she may have not viewed it as the “peaceful discussion” that we understood it to be!! I miss those intellectual challenge sessions that we used to have! Happy Birthday Pops!

One cool thing about working in the same building with your wife, you can meet in the Cafe for a cup of Coffee and a bite for Breakfast! 🧇🥞🍳🥓☕️. The offices on Lynette’s floor certainly are nicer than on mine. Stanford must pay higher rent! Although I’ve noticed that the elevators do not seem to be working during these tense and trying times! We will be okay!

Day 21 of my personal Santa advent Calendar! Santa takes his wife, Lynette out on the town in San Francisco! We stayed on the edge of Union Square and then to Ayesha Curry and Michael Mina’s restaurant, International Smoke! You just can’t go wrong with the City by the Bay the weekend before Christmas in all her Christmas glory! Did I mention that Lynette LOVES! Everything having to do with Ayesha and Steph Curry!? Merry Christmas Lynette! Thanks Amanda and Jaime for joining us for dinner!

Tradition reigns supreme on our Halloween! Gave out 300 pieces of candy, watched the 49er game, and Casa Lupe at the end of our street for Mexican Dinner! It’s just what we do! We hope you all had a great Halloween!

However it is with great sadness that she will not be able to attend a game played by her beloved Athletics Baseball Club. 🙁. Major League Baseball in its infinite wisdom this year has scheduled an “off” day on a Friday for her favorite team! 🙁. Let us all weep aloud on her behalf! But we are going out to dinner with someone from Groningen of the NL (no, not National League!😁⚾️), Brea, Downey and Long Beach! It was the best that we could do in the short term!! But seriously, Happiest of Birthdays to my favorite Baseball fan!! With: Lynette , Sander , Doreen , Brian , and Jeryn!!

Another fun night with the Vogelzang family! We introduced them to American Cards betting on Goldfish! Julian won the inaugural game! Oh yes, we started with a fun Barbecue, and finished with Strawberry Rhubarb Shortcake! Oliver loved the new game! Next time, they are introducing us to a new game they play in the Netherlands as a family! What a fun summer with them visiting!

Digital Cleanout, look what I found?!!!
Talk about the way back machine.....this was probably from the summer of 1974 or 1975 at Tynes Gym in Tufree Park in Placentia, CA. Melinda Withers Bennett is on the left and I am playing defense on the right! I think maybe Wally Lundquist? Might be the guy dribbling? I called the number, guessed it was in the 714 area code, and it is still the number for Placentia recreation if you need to sign up for summer league!
