Goldener Westen 60 x 80cm

In a world characterized by darkness and superficiality, the golden west stands out like a radiant façade of happiness and fulfillment. The shining lights and glamorous promises of wealth and success lure people in and make them long for this supposed paradise.

But behind this glittering facade, the first cracks are beginning to appear. Gold proves to be deceptive and impermanent, its beauty fading like the shine of a fleeting illusion. Superficiality and the pursuit of material wealth are taking over, while human values and social cohesion are slowly disintegrating.

The once-open doors for those seeking freedom and a better life are beginning to close. The fear of strangers, of losing one's own wealth and control over one's own borders causes society to contract and isolation and exclusion become the norm.

The golden promises of equality and justice turn out to be empty phrases. The gap between rich and poor continues to grow as the powerful continue to expand their power and the oppressed slide ever deeper into the abyss of suffering.

Yes, the façade of the Golden West may be beginning to crumble, but within its cracks there is a glimmer of hope. A spark of resistance and awareness that a society is only strong when it supports its weak, protects its diversity and upholds its values.

May we all have the courage to recognize the breaking points of the golden west and work together to rebuild and shape society.

A society in which compassion, diversity, solidarity and justice form the cornerstones of a golden future.
