Deb Googe And Cara Tivey At Quarry
10th July 2026

This show was incredible
Deb and Cara are some of the most incredible people as well as phenomenal musicians and composers. They came to quarry to play their experimental ambient album The Golden Thread in full. It was truly one of my favourite shows of the year so far.

We want to say a massive thank you to Quarry for making this show happen and allowing us to make shows like this happen. We have a lot of time for the team there they are epic and we’re excited for more left field weirdness

Grool were a fantastic support and we can’t wait to see what they have planned …

Thanks for everyone that came down to support this

Here’s my little dump to round off the year. It’s been insanely busy but insanely fun and I’m always grateful for the chance to do what I love and get better with every year.

Highlights of this autumn include forming my own Little Jazz band, playing at the Handyman with @joshduffee and for all my dance pals at @merseyswing 🕺

Catching up with @hesvintage_ and seeing our favourite show The Producers in London🎭

Playing at Rough Trade with @bad.glitches on my keytar😎

My cat, my soulmate, my smelly little goblin🤠

Lots of fun tech-ing for great local gigs including my first time in the new @quarryliverpool , lots of @future_yard (this lil clip is of @hankbee_ who I loved mixing!) , my first in-the-round show with @grooliscool fundraising for @protectscousedolls and a couple of shows on monitors - @invisiblewindfactory and a great stint of gigs at The Mountford Hall ending with doing mons for @shackbandofficial 🙌

My partner in jazz crimes @saratoshkamusic and I have been busy with @blueberrymoon.duet expanding our Frederik’s residency to a quintet @hopestreetjazzrecords in December, playing for the switching on of the vast expanse of Christmas lights in Hoylake @arthurs_hoylake and a string of other gigs ending with a gorgeous Christmas market at @seftonparkpalmhouse 🫐🌙

Lots of fun for my birthday playing games and going to the theatre🤘

And I’ve had a great time joining up with the @drjazzcheshcats big band, working on my reading and playing a delightful Christmas gig with them in Warrington❄️

Spent Christmas here in Liverpool and the cherry blossom in the garden was in bloom!🌸

Bringing in the New Year tonight with @blueberrymoon.duet at our favourite little French joint @epicerie_fine_liverpool from 7:30pm till late!🍷

E.B.M.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to the show yesterday, my heart is so so full. It’s always the gigs that feel like jamming with friends that feed my soul the most. @grooliscool put on an emotional and hypnotizing set. Thank you @events_471 for putting it on and @protectscousedolls for trusting me with your message. Thank you to @future_yard for being a bastion for change in our local scene where every kind of artist is welcome and accommodated for. Thank you my collaborator and dear friend @charlie_currid for your boundless generosity and artistic talent once again, and for your beautiful poetry. I’m endlessly grateful for these opportunities and overjoyed that I am time and time again given the chance to perform in the name of the values I hold most dearly.

I love you all
