One year ago, The Immigrant’s Table started with a simple idea: pull up a chair, and let food do what it does best — bring people together. This past week, we got to watch that idea come full circle. Different backgrounds, different stories, one table.

Huge thank you to @theroost916 for opening their doors and hosting us so beautifully, to the incredible cocktail menu that kept the night flowing, and to every single guest who showed up ready to connect. And to the Immigrant’s Table squad — none of this happens without you. Here’s to year two. 🧡

Starting the year doing something I never got to do during the competition… actually cooking with someone instead of trying to send them home 😂

Met @chefanthonyjoevo during my time on @hellskitchenfox , but when you’re competing, you don’t really get to see how you flow together in a real kitchen.

11 hours in the airport later ✈️… I made it to Sacramento.

And let me tell you it was worth it.
The food? Spectacular.
The energy? Even better.

One week ago in Sacramento, I had the honor of cooking alongside Chef Anthony Vo and Chef Benny to celebrate Lunar New Year.

We created a menu rooted in culture, intention, and story food that didn’t just feed you… it fed your soul.

In a world that feels loud and divided, there’s something powerful about gathering around a table. Strangers sitting side by side. Sharing. Laughing. Tasting. Connecting.

This is why I cook.
To create spaces where everyone feels welcome.
Where culture is celebrated.
Where love and acceptance are served family-style.
