10/17: Happy Boston Vegfest day! My parents came over bright and early so we could beat the traffic and also make a pitstop @blackbirddoughnuts I’ve never tried them before but they always have a handful of vegan options, and I haven’t had an apple cider donut this season, so it seemed necessary. We got a 1/2 dozen: 2 maple twists, 3 apple cider cake donuts, and 1 apple butter bismark. I ate mine later in the evening, but the texture was perfect and it had the right balance of sugary goodness and apple cider flavor 🍎Good to know for the future and we’ll have to try more flavors 🍩Then @vegboston for our 4th year! They couldn’t put the cow out because the wind but they had a cute balloon 🐄It was such a great event and I loved talking to all the bun rescues and small businesses. There were a lot of unique things this year! I can’t wait to start growing my own sprouts and John is giving the mushrooms a try 🍄‍🟫Also sooo hype for my UK advent calendar from @feastyvegan We got the cheeze and sausage for Thanksliving and there were so many good varieties. We made out good 🛍️John made a quick pit stop to this clothing store in the city then we went to go apple picking @dowseorchards 🍎🍏We went to their farm store first then drove up the road to the orchards. It was so fun and we loaded our bag up. Then we went to some of our faves in Framingham before dropping everything off at home and going for dinner. I never plan dinner for Vegfest days since our plans are so variable, but when in doubt, @nansmarket is my go-to. They had some new options for fall, so my bowl was full of all the goodies. I did greens as my base, the sweet potatoes ofc, charred green bean/delicata squash salad, and the roasted broccoli. Linda had same base with SP, the carrot apple salad, and charred green bean salad. John had the plant based chicken sandwich (dairy) Nashville hot style, and a side of the spicy kale salad. I wish the chickn was fully vegan, but he really enjoyed it (Linda tried a bite and also enjoyed!). I go back to normal life tomorrow, but it was nice to have this fall weekend 🍁💚

So much fun at @vegboston ! Thank you to all the vendors for delicious food and fabulous products. Brownies, ice cream, cookies, whoopie pies, magic bars, caramels, chocolates, Indian food, khichuri, and peanut butter halava. Unreal! Amazing to chat with @genebaur before his presentation. And running into a high school friend and fellow vegan was the dairy-free icing on the cake 🎂 #veganfestival #vegfest #vegandesserts #notacheatday #vegancoach

@grounded_confections @wickedglutenfree expo in Fitchburg, Ma . I was very surprised and thrilled to see a chocolate confection at the expo that was obviously gluten-free and also vegan. They had truffles, chocolate bars, chocolate sauces. She is a woman owned company that makes small batches of artisan chocolate treats I would definitely give her a follow go to her website with the holidays coming with a great little package of chocolate delights for us gluten-free people. or someone like me who just wants to have chocolate in their house #chocolate #truffles #vegan #glutenfree #womenownedbusinesses
