POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was gonna post a story of me flexing & then I thought about it and I was like WHO am I doing this for? So I didn’t, and I wrote this musical idea instead. Yo really be honest with yourself when you’re posting. What weird mind game are you playing with yourself regarding self worth and validation. I’m not saying DON’T post, but be conscious of what sort of entanglement you’re putting your worth into. My goal is to exist in a way that doesn’t require validation, but to put myself out there in order to simply express. Don’t pretend with me like you’re already 100% there 😅 the moment you make a post like this or story, you extend a tentacle of validation-seeking into the ether. Okay, SO after that. The next level is realizing NOBODY ACTUALLY CARES, so just do it anyways. Do it for you!!!

So, what do you guys think of this song idea and my gym progress?… guys?

Two weeks ago I stopped by @pinata_radio for a 2 hours vinyl mix going from future jazz, broken beat to Jungle/DnB. Link in bio to listen the full mix.

I played tracks from @seedsofyaris @groupclimate @slow_life_music @jazzanova_berlin @contoursmusic @yadava_mcr @tender22a @wbeeza @maxwell_owin @phoebsmusic @sibin.shubz @holl0way @logan_olm @instinct_burnski @groovyd_ukg @officialjuniordelgado & more.

I’m also using this space to share that I’m playing two gigs this weekend in London. First, I’ll open the @91livingroom summer party on Saturday, from 3pm. And on Sunday, we’ll take over @spacetalk.ldn with my bro @janoyaone doing his live set and I’ll close the night on DJ duties.

Look forward to seeing the London friends.

From growing up by its headquarters to working with them hand in hand, it was surreal to add Coca Cola to the roster. This was a project of love and attention. Thank you @angelobaque for your trust guidance and collaboration, to @joelwolt for always working the hardest and shooting this almost entirely by hand, to @groupclimate for the score, and of course the @awakenewyorkclothing family.

Playlist for tonight Friday August 23.
Thank you Kristin Siapas for joining me in studio to talk about Jazz in the Park series! @justcakeproductions

Some old and some new Jazz on tonight’s program. A little something for everyone!
New single “Jingles” from Jocelyn Gould from her upcoming album “Portrait of Right Now” due to be released October 25, 2024! And because “Jingles” is a Wes Montgomery tune, I was more than happy to play “Lil’ Darlin’” by Wes Montgomery and the Eddie Higgins Trio.

You can tune into tonight’s program anytime by going to our website: www.cjam.ca/dinnerwithmiles

Tune into CJAM! The finest in community radio!📻

This weekend Al Sowinski, the drum kit Wizard of @badbadnotgood, dropped off some records from his solo project, @groupclimate, whose 1st LP is an original soundtrack to the “Paris de Noche” skateboarding video on Thrasher 🔥
We are working on getting some more copies in the shop, but we’ll be spinning our store copy for the foreseeable future 🙂‍↔️ Let us know if you’d like one, or come listen in the shop this week! It’s the perfect vibey summer soundtrack, esp for our skater friends 🛹🔥
