POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As you may have heard…🤷🏼‍♀️ @sarahjmaas is releasing her next ACOTAR book, A Court of Splintered Harmony, on October 27, 2026 😏 But did you know there are 30+ other books hitting shelves during this ACOTAR takeover, too?!

All jokes aside (congrats to this queen on her upcoming release! 🎉), there are plenty of other authors bringing their stories to shelves that day and they deserve a little spotlight, too.

So this is your official reminder that Oct 27th may be a book-haul kind of day. Best of luck to your wallet! (And shop indie ❤️)

👉🏻 Have you ARC read any of these? Which books are you adding to your stack? What did I miss? Share the deets👇🏻

PS - a shout out to the collabs who joined my deep dive into these releases: @fluttersandfables @h.c.books @growing.a.library

About last night... ✨

I was lucky enough to snag a ticket to the dystopian panel at ReaderFest hosted by @williammorrowbooks @epicreads @avonbooks @harpervoyagerus @harpercollins and it was finally time for the event last night! Overall it was a lot of fun - made some new friends and put IRL faces to IG handles for a few others. The dystopian panel was really interesting and I loved listening to these ladies chat (and listening to Ava teach the other authors about the different Pokemon types so they could typecast their MCs!) And Katie Wu was a fabulous moderator for the panel.

Afterwards it was time for signings and more mingling, and there was even an ARC swap table set up so that we could trade the ARCs we got in our goodie bags with other readers. I had originally gotten an ARC of the next Brooke Fast book, but I haven't read book one, so when I had a split second opportunity to swap it for the new Rebecca Ross??? Done deal! Also a huge thank you to the one lovely organizer who was able to locate the very last galley of The Light Between Wounds for me! I'm on Erynne's street team and I'm so very excited for this book, so to be able to have a galley in hand is absolutely incredible.

But let's be honest - nothing could top my meeting with @veronicaroth last night. A few months ago, she posted a redacted title pass page for what we now know is Curse the Left Hand, with *just enough* of some of the letters peeking up out for me to go into detective mode, figuring out the font and the possible letters. I shared my sleuthing with her on that post, and while she obviously couldn't give anything away at the time, she certainly enjoyed my enthusiam. Fast forward to tonight, and Veronica was SO THRILLED when I introduced myself as the reader who had been sleuthing the title! Not only did she remember me... but she also shared that *I* was the one who inspired the title guessing game she ended up posting for the official title reveals of her next 2 books?! Y'all, I'm still in shock 🤯

Overally, it was an absolutely incredible night, and thank you very much again to the organizers for hosting such a fun event 🩷

About the other night... ✨

Guys, still can't believe I got to see the one and only @staceymcewanbooks in conversation with @hannahnicolemae at @therippedbodice earlier this week! 🤯

The moment I saw Stacey and Hannah together for the NYC tour stop for A Forsaken Prophecy, I absolutely KNEW I needed to be there. And y'all, they are just as hilarious IRL as they are online! The whole conversation was filled with laughs and fun and exactly the level of ridiculousness I had expected (compliment). There was insight to Stacey's thoughts and how she formulated the idea for this trilogy, mixed in with outlandish questions like "in a game of musical chairs, which character would win, and which character would lose?" (respective answers: Nina, because Patrick would let her; and Donny, because he wouldn't be able to see the damn chairs 💀).

Totally got tongue-tied at the signing, but can we take a moment for this photo I got with them? I was cackling when I saw it on my phone later 🤣

Also, quick apologies to Hannah! I had planned to bring two bookplates, and then only ended up having one, which I used to mark the page in one of the ATTV books for her to sign. She asked if she was meant to sign it, and y'all, my brain stumbled and I just went "uhh no Stacey" 😬 WHAT I MEANT TO SAY was that I wanted Stacey to sign it ONLY because she lives so far away, whereas Hannah is in my general area of the county and I'm very likely to see her at another event in the near future! 🫣 Goodness me.

Anyways, I had a blast, and if you are debating going to an author event by yourself, seriously, do it! So worth it 🩷

If you could meet any author, who would you pick?
