Pelly’s on parade 🌸

Some of the pelly’s are still looking bloody amazing!

I think most of these actually came from my favourite Pelly pushers Steven & Harry @growingcrazy_uk so if you’re after a regular supply of top-quality Pelly’s to feed your addiction, you know where to go. 😂

Check them out for all your pelly needs. 🌸

Bindweed is one of the most frustrating weeds you’ll ever come across in the garden. It might look harmless with its pretty white or pink trumpet-shaped flowers, but don’t be fooled – it wraps itself around your plants, steals light, water and nutrients, and can quickly take over if left unchecked.

The best way to deal with it is to keep on top of it. Dig out as much of the white root system as you can, but be patient because even tiny pieces left behind can grow back. If it’s climbing through your plants, carefully unwind it rather than pulling hard, as this can damage the plants you’re trying to save.

Never add bindweed roots to your compost heap, as they can survive and spread when you use the compost later. If it’s growing in areas without other plants, you can spot treat it with a suitable weed killer, but in flower beds I prefer removing it by hand little and often.

The key is persistence. You probably won’t get rid of it in one go, but if you keep removing new growth, you’ll eventually weaken the roots and bring it under control.

Have you managed to beat bindweed, or is it taking over your garden too? Let me know your best tips below! 👇🌿

We’ve been out today catching up with our friends in the Floral Marquee at RHS Badminton Flower show @badmintonestate

First up in the series, Steven from @growingcrazy_uk - we call him the Pelli Guy. Name dropping Angelina Jolie and Her Grace and why we shouldn’t look in the mirror - all in a day’s work for an @the_rhs show.

Steven is a real friend who we met here at the Badminton Open Gardens earlier this year, hung out at Chelsea and always a smiley welcome face with his team.

Growing Crazy hold the national collection of Pelargoniums and are on a stellar path to bring these amazing plants to your garden. You can order online via their website or just give them a like and a follow. We all like a like and a follow!

Boiling but beautiful Badminton @the_rhs. Planting is soft and romantic throughout- loved the largest ever garden at an RHS show ‘The Julia Rausing Garden’ by @tomstuartsmith - just stunning - and also the combination of Allium sphaerocephalon, Verbena ‘Bampton’ & Sidalcea ‘Elsie Heugh’ on @hardysplants display. Of course all my wonderful nursery friends presented fantastic exhibits as ever, so great to see so many of you! Saw lots of the peach Delphinium ‘Princess Caroline’ in trolleys - clearly catching visitors’ eyes. Congratulations too to the lovely @alexandragraygardendesign on her delightful ‘Yin and Yang’ Pocket Planting design 🌺 #horticulture #flowershows #rhsbadminton #plantlover #gardener

💚👧🌸 Welcome to the Growing Crazy Pelargonium display at the 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show 😊! 🇬🇧🌳🐭🌸! 🌸👦💚

We visited the world famous 2026 RHS Chelsea Flower Show on 20.05.26 and loved it 😊

At the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026, the specialist nursery Growing Crazy made a spectacular debut by winning a prestigious Silver-Gilt medal for their exhibit celebrating the diversity of Pelargoniums 🏆

Their highly acclaimed, vibrant display showcased their diverse collection of over 700 historic and rare varieties in the Great Pavilion.

Their journey to the show and their experiences in the Great Pavilion were a major highlight of the event.

Growing Crazy is a highly regarded, award-winning UK specialist plant nursery that focuses on cultivating and conserving an extensive collection of Pelargoniums (commonly referred to as tender geraniums).

Hand-growing over 500 distinct varieties using traditional methods in the Vale of Evesham.

Instead of unrooted plug plants, they ship healthy, young established plants nationwide in fully eco-friendly, 100% recyclable packaging.

The nursery organizes its massive inventory into specialized plant categories:

Scented-Leaved: the nursery's largest group. Features fragrant foliage mimicking aromas like rose-lemon (Atomic Snowflake), nutmeg (Fragrans), and peppermint.

Regal Pelargoniums: showy varieties known for their large, flamboyant, and intensely colorful blooms.

Angel Pelargoniums: compact, small-leaved varieties that look like miniature Regals and produce clouds of delicate flowers.

Dwarf Pelargoniums: low-growing varieties maxing out at 20–25 cm, ideal for tight windowsills or container edges.

Species & Heritage Gems: rare, wild South African species and historical varieties dating back to the 19th century 😊
