Down to 11.5 hours of daylight. Plants essentially go dormant for the winter below 10 hours, so it's the lovely season of racing the sun and the upcoming frosts, but also pausing to watch the dew burn off in the morning light.

Fall farm to table was a smashing success!
What an amazing show of the abundance of the season from our local farms! We ate, we drank fizzy botanical brews, made new friends and all together reveled in community that believes that growing food is the noblest of jobs.

Until next time ✌️

✨️WEEK 23 - Regular Size Box✨️ We normally feature the Small Size Box in the weekly photo, but have you wondered just how much bigger the Regular Box is?

Here we have two bags of Mixed Braising Greens (they cook down so small, so it's a good portion for 4-5 people), two cartons of mushrooms, a bigger bag of green beans, and a large bag of Mild Baby Greens, a good handful of jalapeños, rosemary, and a real treat - benne sesame!

🥬 Fall Memberships are still open! 🥬 Sign up today for a 4 or 8 Week Membership and enjoy fresh, chemical-free produce through the end of the year!

From a CSA member's kitchen:
Red Curry Squash Soup with Basil garnish

Made from the produce box using:

Spaghetti squash
Garlic, onion + basil garnish.

"I only added lime juice, coconut milk and red curry paste to make up the soup.

Cook the spaghetti squash until soft in the oven and then mixed it all up in the blender to taste. It was 3 lbs of squash to about 16 oz of coconut milk 2 tbsp lime juice, and about 2 TBSP red curry paste but I like it spicy. Sauted onion, garlic. I also added a dash of turmeric and ginger."

Absolutely stunning! There's nothing better as farmers to hear how you all are enjoying your CSA boxes!!
