Every body is a dancer's body. Join us at the UK's first conference dedicated solely to body image in dance on Monday 26 October 2026 at Elmhurst Ballet School, Birmingham. Body Perspectives: Re-evaluating the Ideal will bring together dancers, clinicians, researchers, educators and nutrition specialists for a full day examining how the dance sector can build healthier body image cultures, from vocational training through to professional company life. This is not a conference about appearance. It is a conference about how body image affects participation, wellbeing, performance, health and culture in dance, and what we can do about it. Attendees leave with evidence-based knowledge, practical tools, meaningful connections, and concrete actions they can implement immediately. Full info and booking link in bio

FAB day today with the GuiDANCE Network to talk all things strategy, purpose and vision for supporting young people growing up in dance. So refreshing to debate (and sometimes rant!) about how to move the dance teaching profession forward in shaping young bodies and minds. Also had a little social housing history geek-out moment when I spotted Birmingham's back to back houses around the corner. IYKYK 🏠 ❤️
