We're ba-aa-aa-ck!!!

Upper blue collar wine vibes and comedy, what's better?

Come hang out with me, Erich at @ricochetwine and some friends doing comedy this Saturday. Some of the best like @dgavitte , @dadenman9933 , @eleanore.ryan.show , @joshfunnyguy , and @carlosofficialromero are planning to come out.

Grab some wine, or a @heaterallenbeer brew, or an NA option to enjoy with the show and the fantastic tacos from the truck.

Delicioso!

Here are the lineups to the 2026 PFP at Helium - @heliumcomedypdx .

I think I I love this round the most. The prelims and finals too, but typically as a comedian I love seeing this round because its mostly people I know, crushing. Those I don't know yet I get to see finally!

Congratulations to those who got to the semis and everyone who had the courage to do it, it is not easy by any stretch of the imagination.

📸's by @lensssay_photography and @vaxis.photography at mics/shows I've filmed and/or produced.

Here are some fantastic photos from the Showcase Showdown at Mattie's Room in McMenamins Hotel Oregon on June 26, 2026.

I was producing and hosting while the badass @lensssay_photography was behind a lens snapping these. Thank you!

We had a fun night, congratulations again to Tony.

It was a good night for comedy. It felt like Europe in the air. Is that a thing? It was also very fun and funny with great community building.

It was all around a very strong night of comedy in a room that was ready to open up, get loose, and have some laughs. We made the audience get nice and close to the stage. Intimacy helps laughter.

It felt good to work hard the last two weeks to create opportunities, put in work, and build relationships.

Thank you to my comedy community. From the tops to the bottoms. I love y'all.

Congratulations again to Tony on a decisive win!

Today was the worst day in a while for me. It's no lie been a tough year regardless of the Emporer has no clothes ongoing dumpster fire coup d'état.

But then I got my notes and my clipboard together and put that sh*t in a day tight compartment because it was time to put in the work.

It was AWESOME.

I gotta say, I'm so f*cking proud of this scene and of comedians of all ages and skill levels. I was up after Chris D - @chris.dcomedy and before him a great side and I was able to have some good fun. I know I ran the light a bit so thank you to Lucas and Brandon for giving me the grace.

I think that comedians are different. More like a tribe if you would be so kind as to permit me to use that word. Why a tribe? It means you do right by your people. You lift each other up and you help each other when you're down. Never forget it.

I have had to rely more on my tribe lately. My wife, my comedians, and my good friends and family. To me all y'all are family and you are everything to me. Full stop.

Y'all are everything to me.

That's being a tribe. My tribe is everywhere too. I've got tribe in Australia, France, Switzerland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Oregon, Washington, Germany, Japan...

You get it.

But I live here. In the PNW. My comedy tribe in Portland and beyond is just amazing. Not perfect, but weird, and evolving, AND FUNNY.

I must say that I love the city of Portland and all the great food, beverage, and comedy of course. Dive bar and wine country adjacent. (But really it is the worst. Don't come here, the war zone and stuff.)

Seriously. I know that life isn't perfect, pobody's nerfect as they say. But, I had a tough day after a tough few weeks and being able to destroy a mic that has been well lubricated by a team of better and better friends and peers who lifted my spirits as high as a comedian who's too high for their set and tells everyone.

Thank you for making a bad day, great my tribe.

PS - micro-dosing alcohol isn't terrible. @bestdaybrewing Kölsch is BJCP judge approved.

The punk-inspired photo from Noah Bustos - @growmo_baggins who is making his showcase debut on June 26, 2026 as our special guest on the Showcase Showdown!

Noah and I met at the Cabana Club where I started, produced, and filmed an open mic after being an open mic comedian for three months. What can I say? I'm an all-in kinda guy. Michael Scott.

Noah was at one of my first shows in wine country at Raptor Ridge Winery - @raptorridgewinery where we were first canceled. Haha. Amazing by the way. Best thing ever to happen. Them giving us the chance, and the boot! I love those folks and their wines, but this show isn't for every room.

Come see why it's too funny for wine rooms and meet Noah at McMenamins Hotel Oregon in Mattie's Room, our pop-up comedy club in bucolic McMinnville, OR.

Noah, come on down!

This was a super cool night at Montavilla Station and around Portland as I drove all over the place and tried to get some good b-roll of the city and my commute.

From the moment I parked my car on Stark, I felt the energy in the air. The hopeful optimism in spite of the world around us. People need a laugh.

Montavilla Station last night had so many great comedians, fresh faces and the regulars who feel like family, it was such a good vibe that Lucas, Brandon, and Tammy had going on I just enjoyed it mostly. Although I had the presence of mind to start snapping some photos towards the end.

I have been doing standup, film, and production for coming up on three years this summer and I would say I can count on one hand how many times I have been at an open mic, or comedy show, where the energy felt like it did last night. It was a special night.

Enjoy the photos. I hope that they convey a bit of that energy.

Be funny.

It was a good night for comedy and community.

My proof?

I didn't take any videos or photos. These are before or after.

I was just in the pocket with my friends and adopted family.

Catching up, cracking wise, roasting, laughing, being goofy, watching friends get ridiculously good at comedy do sets, getting a beverage or 2 from Tammy! Tammy! Tammy! Ron Swanson approved.

Thanks fam.
