Album Cover + a bit more

AUGUST 30th, 2024
Victory… 🏆

I started the creative process behind the album maybe a year ago and I’ve been making music for 3 going on 4 years. Just finding my sound and having fun. I always had a deep love for music. For those who know me can attest to that. My brother Troy ALWAYS would encourage me like ‘Jay you need to put these out ASAP. These are hard bruh.’ Mar would do the same like ‘Jay what you really doing?’ So I gotta thank them you know. The reason why the project is called ‘Victory’ isn’t to say that I’m in a season of Wins. I’m in the rebuild season (not the prettiest but it’s so necessary). I’ll tell you what I mean. This year has been the roughest thus far but in the midst of that it’s rewarding because God is killing off who I was and birthing a new me. ITS UNCOMFORTABLE!!! It’s not easy. I cried more than I smiled this year. Days where I didn’t want to pray! Like is it worth it? The enemy was after my mind. He sent me some amazing FAMILY (I tagged them in the post) WHO PRAY FOR ME. I can’t hide anything from them. They know when something is wrong and is right by my side. (I gave my pride to God because this year showed me that I WILL NOT make it unless I ask for help) I appreciate them more than they know.
So with all of that the TRUE Victory is trusting Jesus with all you have. Not just when it feels right. Or when it’s convenient. No, trust Him when you’re low, when you don’t know how you’re going to make it. I’M STILL GROWING. And I thank Him for Grace and mercy everyday.

So Friday, when this drops I want whoever chimes in to just think about how far you came and just thank God for that. You’re not where you wanna be but you definitely aren’t where you use to be.

LOVE GOD
LOVE YOURSELF
LOVE YOUR PEOPLE
GIVE GRACE
And Count on God 💙

Recently, my husband and I spent the whole day organizing and cleaning our closet and our kids closet.

As I was putting the kids to sleep, I went to go check on my husband.

Y’all..

This man turned our closet into a prayer closet! 🙏🏼 I couldn’t even put into words the amount of gratitude, joy, and happiness I felt! 🥹🙌🏼🙏🏼

(It was him opening his Bible for me! 😍🥰🥵)
