Last night’s monsoon was so violent it erased numbers on my rain gauge & downed trees, including one Gary & Tim planted. 😳😢

When they started turning the Benedictine Chapel into “La Rosa” the wonderful new music venue here in town they found some handpainted boards that were part of the original construction sign from 1939, the year the Chapel and Convent was built……. Thanks to my friend Gary Patch the interior designer on this project, I had the opportunity to restore this sign that now is hanging on the patio of the new “Sisters” restaurant next-door…….. the old sign was missing the top and bottom boards and some end pieces on the existing boards, so I re-created the missing piece to match the original old boards, and this is the result! Thankful to have had a small part in this beautiful reimagining of the old chapel into a great new music venue for Tucson!

It was fun to make the letters for this sign, and was my first official commercial job for Oh well™️. Thanks @gspatch for the project! 🥰 I can’t wait to eat here next time I’m in Phoenix!

Gary Patch is one of the coolest mofos around. Not only does he have great style, he is also part of the creative team that help designed some of my favorite spaces in Arizona like Gracie’s Tax Bar, Royal Room, The Cup, Valley Bar, the Van Buren and more. Love you, Gary!
