📍Gstaad, Switzerland 🇨🇭

After 47 summers, so much of Gstaad feels as familiar to us as the mountains themselves.

Our days are hikes with cows and their bells right beside us, waterfalls, swimming in the lakes, family dinners, parties and walks through a town we have watched change yet remain remarkably itself.

Gstaad has also been incredibly generous to our family. Over the years, many of the people here have become an extended family of sorts, welcoming us back each summer and becoming part of the memories themselves.

Mornings at Cappuccino. Afternoons at Charly’s for pastries and tea. Dinner at Rialto, around town or at a family chalet. Some head to GreenGo at the Palace, while others end up at the Olden late at night. And there is always Wally’s, staying open to feed us a favorite burger or crêpe before bed.

At the end of it all, we can walk home through the village, even late at night. That freedom and sense of safety is something we never take for granted.

Our flag goes up in town every August, a familiar sign that the family is back. Amir spins through the mountains with his own spoof of The Hills Are Alive. 😂 There is a little spa time for me, and as a lifelong Bond fan, a photo with Roger Moore’s Bentley always makes me smile.

This year even the sky joined in, with the eclipse above the Alps.

It is these seemingly small things that stay with me. The familiar faces and tables, cowbells on a hike, family around us and late-night walks home. After so many summers, they are no longer the backdrop to the memories. They are the memories.

Gstaad has given our family far more than a beautiful place to gather. It has welcomed us, looked after us and become part of our family story. For that, I will always be grateful. 🤍🇨🇭

60,000,000$ pics of two Rolls Royce, both currently stored in the Valley and owned by the same Qatari 🇶🇦 collector.

The first is 1 of only 4 Rolls-Royce Droptail produced: the “Amethyst.” It was unveiled for the first time in August 2023 at the Gstaad Palace during an exclusive private event attended by the owner’s close friends and family. Shortly after, a photoshoot was conducted in the mountains just 15 minutes from the Valley to officially present the model to the public.

The second is the well known Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, 1 of only 3 produced. It was first presented in 2022 at the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, before being spotted in August 2024 in Gstaad during a polo event held on the airport.

The owner, is well know in Gstaad, he keeps several of his vehicles stored both in the Valley and in Sion. He also owns multiple dealerships for prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, and Aston Martin, both in Qatar and Switzerland. His personal collection includes around 150 cars, making it one of the largest Qatari collections.

A bit less then 100 cars of his collection will soon be displayed in one of Switzerland’s most prestigious private museums, in Pregny-Chambésy 🇨🇭.
