The art of balancing a rod with finesse, accuracy and control. Or just Euro nymphing, if you prefer.

Jokes aside, a well-balanced nymphing setup is key to enjoying long hours on the water. It means greater control with less effort, both when casting and throughout the drift.

Our Aura Euro reel is designed to perfectly counterbalance modern Euro nymphing rods, while its narrow, large-arbor design ensures fast, smooth line retrieval and tidy line management.

Freshie from the main vein- this one’s been a long time comin’.

Winching a mushroom hunter up a sketchy road (his 4x4 was broken). Steelhead karma 💪

Braeden hooked up to a fog hog.

Caudal peduncle.

A good one.

Wet fly lost its wings.

When your buddy catches a good one, come in behind and swing it again (the best time to catch a steelhead is right after the last one).

Lil’ Bucky.

Braeden’s water master fell victim to his exhaust pipe. He is now a packraft guy.

Deer hair skater (it worked).

Prep for the Irish Fly Fair began a few days ago. These bombers along with other Atlantic Salmon, trout, grayling and predator flies will be part of my display at the show. Only 24 days until the show kicks off!! Looking forward to catching up with some great folks from around the world!!

Client Dave Demuth got into some nice browns, including this specimen! We worked on technical casts, dialing in the details that lead to better presentations and more productive drifts. The little things make a big difference. I have some dates available still in November. Shoot me a massage if you would like to work on your nymphing or dry fly game!

Few things in fly fishing match the adrenaline of chasing false albacore. Explosive surface feeds, lightning-fast runs, and pure chaos when everything comes together.

Fast fish and fast decisions and moments where every detail of your tackle matters. Accuracy, speed, and absolute confidence in your gear can make all the difference.
