For the past month, or so, I’ve been working with @ericashineseasley and her daughter, @destineeeasley with their BSU program at @colfaxcharterel. What a joy. What a reset. I chose to teach 3rd - 5th graders GOLDEN by @missjillscott. They were excited, cute, proud, and LOUD 😂. How lucky they are to have such a fantastic program bringing them culture, and most importantly, community! Bravo to their principal, @principalofcomedy , and those wonderful teachers at that school for giving these kids a safe space to be seen. Thank you thank you for the warm welcome these last few weeks. Erica and Destinee are doing great work, not just here , but other elementary schools throughout LA. I’m happy I was able to jump in on this one with no hesitation. Big thank you and LOVE to our dear and mutual friend, @raetoledo for bringing all of us together. ❤️ #blackstudentunionweek #education #losangeles #golden #elementaryschool
