Mange ting går ekstra langsomt her i de her dage.

Der er blå himmel ind imellem og i næste uge kommer der igen gæster til Hundredefemten.

Kål og Korn d. 21.10 er fuldt booket, men der er stadig pladser på tegne- og akvarelkurset med @signeparkins lørdag d. 24. fra 10-15.

Signe er kunstner, tegner, illustrator og har udgivet flere bøger (jeg vil egentlig anbefale dem alle…), senest Nonnerne fra Ørslev Kloster, med en samling af håndsyede nonner/figurer og en meget vedkommende fortælling om sorg, at miste, døden og det liv, som fortsat er.
Dorte Nors skrev om bogen, at det er en “tidløs beskrivelse af den menneskelige evne til at finde mening i det forhåndenværende.” Og derudover, at den “ikke er uden Signes altid seende humor”.
Jeg kender ikke Dorte, men jeg er enig (vil i øvrigt også anbefale hendes bøger…) Signe er sjov, klog, dygtig (bare spørg Google) og derudover en meget erfaren underviser.
Så jeg siger bare, at det her er et kursus du godt gider at bruge din lørdag på.
Du skal koncentrere dig om at tegne og male med akvarel. Jeg sørger for frokost og en lille eftermiddagssnack, som du enten kan tage med hjem, eller snuppe med på en bette gåtur efter kurset.

Og når vi nu er ved de gode lørdagskurser, så husk, at Anne fra @gulddk kommer og holder plantefarvekursus lørdag d. 21. november. Det bliver også en dag, med mening i det forhåndenværende, udviklende processer og et møde med den skønhed naturen indeholder - og selvsagt godt bagværk og en solid frokost.

We are so excited to share that spots for our 2027 Intermezzo Denmark trips will open up this Thursday, October 8th at 7pm MT ❤️ We can’t wait to explore Copenhagen and the Danish countryside with you all again 🇩🇰✨

It always happens before we’re ready for it - our time in one of our favorite places has come to an end 🇩🇰

We are feeling so grateful that we got to finish our week in the Danish countryside with the most incredible group of people to share the magic of natural dyeing with G-uld ❤️ The time in Ravning is always our favorite part of the trip - intentionally getting to slow down, walk through the process of natural dyeing, and enjoy many moments gathered together as a group in both quiet conversation and bursts of laughter.

We feel so lucky that we have gotten to share this corner of the world with so many folks this year, and cannot wait to do it again in 2027. So long for now, Denmark. We’ll see you again soon ✨

Have you ever finished a project, blocked it, took the photo, and just... forgot to post it completely for months?
Well, here's a project I've finished all the way back in May 😅
Somehow, the photos of this shawl never got posted despite that I've been using it quite a lot since it's done!
This is my "stars in your hands" shawl. It's a pretty sizable beast and very soft and warm thanks to all that mohair! It took me almost a year from start to finish but I am quite happy with the result. The shawl has some intricate designs and I love the bubbles a lot! It's definitely a labor of love and it will for sure be keeping my neck and shoulders warm the whole winter.

My collection of patterns combining slip stitch & intarsia is growing! I really enjoy this combination, as slip stitches add interesting texture to my colourful intarsia shapes.

Jeg holder af alle årstider, og måske især skiftene, som, når man kigger efter, egentlig sker hele tiden, så måske holder jeg bare af tiden…
Men altså uanset, så bevæger vi os nu (igen) mod den mørke del af året. Den del, hvor uldsokkerne kommer op af skuffen, hyldebærsaften farver mine tænder blå-violette og streamingabonnementerne skal vise deres værd, mens jeg går i hi på sofaen.

Inden jeg får klistret mig helt fast til hynderne, hiver jeg et mindre arsenal af “syssel-sager” indenfor rækkevidde, for jeg trives bedst med at have hænderne i gang… Once a pilfinger, always a pilfinger.

Og nu begynder vi så at nærme os det, som det her egentlig handler om; EFTERÅRETS WORKSHOPPROGRAM, til de flittige hænder og hoveder, der trænger til ro.
For det er endelig tid til Tirsdagsworkshops igen! OG jeg har tre virkelig fine kurser med afsindigt dygtige gæste-undervisere. Hva’ behar?!

Formaterne er lidt forskellige, men der er blus på brændekomfuret, lækkerier til tallerknerne og skruet helt op for inspirationen, roen, hyggen og det gode selskab.

Kom med en tur - vi kan godt nå det afsnit af Barnaby en anden dag.

A look back at our first trip with Intermezzo: Denmark ❤️

This trip was full of so many emotions for us. Feelings of deep gratitude for what has been, joy and pride over all that we’ve accomplished, and sadness that our time together is came to an end too soon. We spent our time exploring a pocket of the world together with people who we once knew as strangers and can now call our friends.

We learned together, we laughed together, we grew together. And, mostly importantly, we paused together. We quietly agreed to take this time to step outside of our everyday lives to experience something new, together. The memories that come from taking that leap will last forever ❤️

🌼Zigzag Bandana in G-uld 🌸

This version of our new pattern, in a classic pom combination of pink and yellow, is knit in a fingering weight naturally dyed (and sadly no longer available) yarn by @g-uld. The slightly lighter weight of the yarn means the zigs and zags are a little more delicate, and we think this is a great example of using what you have to hand, even if it’s not the ‘recommended’ thickness, for this pattern! You might even notice that one end of the scarf is a different colour to the other; we ran out of the darker pink and switched to a lighter one to finish, and we love the effect, and the feeling of using up some lovely smaller quantities of yarn.

For when you really really really want to knit a zig-a-zag scarf ⚡️

Introducing our newest standalone pattern - The Zigzag Bandana!

The Zigzag Bandana is an extremely versatile pattern. Pretty much any yarn will work, with varying fun results. We’ve included photos and information for eight versions using different yarns to give you just a taste of the possibilities.

A single colour changing yarn, mohair, scraps, linen, wool, and more all feature. Use what you have, or try out unusual colour combinations. This pattern is a low-risk way to experiment with colour, texture, and scale!

Almost any sport to worsted weight yarn will work and you won’t need much of it.

The pattern includes 10 video tutorials for all the techniques included, so don’t be put off if you’ve never tried a stitch pattern like this before, we’ve got you covered 🫡

The dyed yarns from @gulddk with @an.intermezzo - aka magical Denmark adventure. I absolutely love how this turned out! I thought about re-winding the skeins, but love that they each have their own personality because they were wound by the amazing humans I was lucky enough to spend that week with. I will cherish this always!!!
