A night worth celebrating.

Congratulations to Amanda Abbott on an incredible evening of recognition at the Emerald Coast Real Producers Honors. Amanda was named Top Non-Profit of the Year for her work with Gulf Therapy and received the Top Cover of the Year award for her February 2026 cover.

She was also nominated for Top Female Realtor of the Year, making the night a meaningful reflection of the impact she continues to make both in real estate and in our community.

From all of us at Abbott Martin Group, we’re so proud to celebrate Amanda, her accomplishments, and everything behind these well deserved honors.

I kept saying no every time they invited me to paddleboard after Zach’s accident. Thank God they kept asking.

❤️ If we haven’t met, I’m Julie. I lost my 16-year-old son almost ten years ago, and since then I’ve been learning what it means to live after losing a child.

✨ Every day I share what I’ve learned about child loss, grief, trauma, the nervous system, faith, and learning how to live again.

Just a few months after the accident, I met the @gulftherapy crew. They kept inviting me to join them, and I kept saying no. I was scared. I felt almost naked out in the world. Leaving home was hard, and coming back home was just as hard. But they kept asking, and sometimes, I said yes.

Somewhere along the way, this became a b r a n d NEW part of my life. And the people ☀️🩷🏄‍♂️🫶🏻👯‍♀️🫂🐬🐠🦈
I never could have imagined what saying yes would eventually bring into my life.

→ Here’s what I wish I had understood 10 years ago: after losing a child, sometimes you’re just not ready yet. That doesn’t mean you’ll never be ready. I’m grateful I was given room to say no, and they kept inviting me anyway.

And if you love someone who has lost a child, keep inviting her. Let her say no. Have no expectations. Ask again. And be okay if she has to cancel at the last minute. Even now, some of these emotions are indescribable for me at times. ❤️

The 6th Annual Paddle for Peace, benefiting local nonprofit Gulf Therapy, was one for the books. Led by founder Amanda Abbott, the event brought together 170 paddlers and raised over $27,000 for better mental health in our community.

This year was especially meaningful with a surfboard memorial honoring Zach Spears and so many others who left us too soon.

The community showed up in a BIG way with fresh food and juice, sound healing, four bands on the dock, an incredible raffle, and endless local support. We were even joined by a manatee and loggerhead sea turtle!

Us at Abbott Martin Group were beyond honored to be a sponsor at such an impactful event.

Paddle for Peace 2026 🤍

Like many others on the water, I started paddling to connect with nature and find a little inner peace. When I bought my board, I had just been diagnosed with a life-changing illness. I spent weeks getting on the water almost every day, letting go of the things I couldn’t change and focusing on what I could — the nature God created around me.

Getting to be part of Paddle for Peace this year was such a special reminder of how powerful nature can be for our mental health. Grateful for @gulftherapy and the work they’re doing to help more people experience that feeling, too. 🤍

Grayton showed off for Paddle for Peace! Bluebird skies and almost no wind made for a perfectly flat gulf. The bands on the dock were fantastic and the camaraderie and connections were special.

Another successful Paddle for Peace put on by one of my favorite local non profits @gulftherapy 🩵.
They raise money each year to help people pay for mental health care who are unable to afford it.
They also host bi weekly paddle meet ups for people to connect to nature, and others in the area 🥰.
This event always reminds me that I need to start going back!
Thank you @amanda_red for all of your dedication to this cause and our community, and for allowing me to be a part of it 🫶🏼.
