Last week I attend the Clinton Global Initiative - a global convening of public and private sector leaders working on solving some of the world’s most critical challenges. As you probably know, there are quite a few challenges right now. It’s incredibly inspiring being in a room of over 1,000 leaders from 65 countries, in a time where there’s so much negativity in the world, who actively working to build, fund and sustain global impact companies and projects. Over the last 20 years over 500 million people world wide have been positively impacted by commitments and projects created at CGI. That’s WILD. I think sometimes we get desensitized to numbers - likes and shares and living in a digital age has done that - but if you think about how many people that is, how many times over someone’s life has been positively impacted like this, that is absolutely wild.

I left New York City more inspired than ever to continue growing Lightward AI, Recess with Guncle Abe, our global shopify apps that fund all of our crazy ideas in hopes to do our part in creating a better world.

Thrilled to be invited to this year’s #CGI2025 @clintonglobal in NYC. My parents raised me to be a compassionate, giving and kind person. Whenever I’m in rooms that not many people get to be in, I think of them. I feel gratitude for them providing me a safe space to be who I am— they always encouraged me to be authentic and celebrated who I am. Its inspired my work as a plus-size model, leading Lightward Inc, and helping families in the mental health space through Recess with Guncle Abe. And that’s why I’m able to literally sit next to Hillary Clinton and other global leaders - because I belong.

MY DREAM STUDIO IS COMPLETE 🎥🎬🖤

After weeks of building, my creative production studio is officially ready. This space was designed for one thing: non stop creation.

As a full-time videographer, video producer, 3D designer, animator, and editor, I’ve always dreamed of a space perfectly tailored to my projects, and now I’m fortunate enough to have it. :))

Here’s what’s coming to Instagram soon:
• Behind-the-scenes looks at my process
• Creative experiments & explorations
• Big film projects I can’t wait to share

You don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it. In fact you’ll probably enjoy it more the less you think about being good at it.

@abelopez shares creative inspiration, and a shout-out to his genius husband, @isaacbowen, in this clip from Abe’s interview. Watch the full video on our YouTube channel, linked in our bio!

Michael and @abelopez share ADHD as a superpower, and have each learned their own ways to use playfulness as a mindset to navigate their diagnoses. For Abe, that impacts his work with @lightwardinc, @guncleabe, and everything in between.

New interview with @abelopez out NOW on YouTube!

‪Abe‬ is a managing partner of ‪@lightwardinc, a tech and creative studio based in Chicago. He is also a mental health advocate for children, playing ‪@guncleabe‬, teaching kids social-emotional learning through fun, dance, and thoughtfully engaging characters. In between all of that, Abe is a plus-size model, actor, motivational speaker, and creative entrepreneur.

In this interview, Michael and Abe discuss designing your systems and surroundings to make it easier to recognize what the heart is yearning for (and take action accordingly). They also explore the Enneagram framework, showing up fully with vulnerability and authenticity, making things that benefit both the audience and the creator, and how playfulness illuminates it all.

Watch now through the link in our bio!
