Bright colors! Weird textures! Happy little imperfections! Riso season is upon us 🌈✨

Never touched a Risograph before? First-Time Risograph is your introduction to the wonderfully weird world of Riso. You’ll learn your way around the machine, play with scanning and image-making techniques, layer bold colors, and make your own posters, prints, zines, and whatever else your Riso-loving heart desires.

No experience needed. Just bring your ideas and a willingness to embrace a little perfectly imperfect print magic. 💫

And good news for the Riso-curious: we’ve got THREE chances to take First-Time Riso this Fall, including two starting in just a few weeks! 👀

🌈 Thursdays, September 10-October 8
⏰ 6:30-9:30pm
🎨 with Junko Okada-Brown

💥 Mondays, September 14-October 5
⏰ 6:30-9:30pm
🎨 with Marylu Herrera

✨ Thursdays, October 15-November 12
⏰ 6:30-9:30pm
🎨 with Junko Okada-Brown

And for the folks already familiar with Riso, check out our intermediate and advanced options (new additions to the catalog!!) 👀

Dokkaebi (Korean: 도깨비) are legendary creatures from Korean mythology and folklore. Dokkaebi, also known as "Korean goblins", are nature deities or spirits possessing extraordinary powers and abilities that are used to interact with humans, at times playing tricks on them and at times helping them... (source: Wikipedia)

This dokkaebi is a restaurant guardian! Painted by local artist @gunkobrown , hopefully this mythological creature continues to bring prosperity and good fortune to our patrons and employees alike.
