Happy Friday, RollerCon and Friends!
Wow. Yesterday was...... a lot! Derby bouts, open sessions in the beautiful AC ramps, the derby wedding (Dawnie & Ryder saw that without me as I was getting in a quick hour @ Anthem) the hardcore folks who came out to Anthem with me and then last but certainly NOT least, the Reidell Monster Party!
Everybody was looking GOOD, DJ Agent Meow was spinning nothing but bangers (as usual!) and a good time was had by ALL!
This household is moving slowly after a VERY LONG day that actually included alcohol but we WILL be back to the WMC @ some point this afternoon.
For those interested, the RCSPT Stop 3 for tonight is @hollywoodskateparklv which is an AMAZING place with a full pipe, a ½ pipe, a stand alone bowl, a flow bowl and a HUGE, spacious street course.
Now Hollywood is the only park with an entry fee.....last year it was $3. They also have an indoor AC rec center where they have COLD AF FREE water fountains, vending machines and indoor bathrooms.....and places to sit to gear up .....or just to cool down if you need to. That's why Dawnie and Ryder come to Hollywood and no other parks......it's Vegas's most civilized skatepark. LoL
Helmets are MANDATORY @ Hollywood and if you don't have one, they'll make you rent one theirs so bring all your gear. It's big and concrete, so all your gear is just a good idea anyway.
Ok. This tired old man will be up to sk8 the RollerCon Spine at some point today. Come and skate with me @ the WMC, then let's show Hollywood Skate Park how many of us LOVE their amazing concrete wonderland!
