Following up on the video I just posted, this is Leif and his family. Before anyone asks- yes, I did speak with him and get permission to post this shot. Leif was shooting the video of a humpback whale (HW-MN0104988) while I was banging away on a series of photos, including this one. What an amazing chance experience. I didn't even know the whale was there until I watched the sailboat, who I was watching to decide which side I would pass him on, hit the brakes. Then I saw the first plume, so I hit the brakes and grabbed the camera. Turns out, I've photographed this whale two weeks ago, but to come away with these shots for Leif and his family is awesome! AS always, feel free to like and share!

What an incredible chance experience yesterday! This is video from my new friend Leif, a tattoo artist and studio owner from NH. He and his family were on a sailboat yesterday as I was photographing the humpback. In the video, you can see me in the background. At the same time, I'm photographing Leif and his family, and came away with a once in a lifetime image, which I'll be posting next. Right after this encounter, I went over to the sailboat and gave Leif my email address so I could send him the images. Absolutely amazing when something like this comes together!

“Oh The Webs We Weave.” 🖤🕸️🕷️☯️A spider & web tattoo symbolizes the “web of life,” representing destiny, karmic connections, and the idea that all events are interwoven. It reflects the delicate balance of existence, patience, and the ability to weave your own reality or overcome life’s complex obstacles. #freshink #spider #web #tattoo #artwork

I had Leif @gunslingertattooco flip through my new book and select a line that he liked for this tattoo.

Every single line in the book is its own random thought/sentence/poem/fragment, so I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. It could have been insightful, ridiculous, stupid, or embarassing. I’m happy with what he selected.

Randomness is key, embrace chaos, surf the wave, go with the flow, etc, etc.

Will you tattoo something from my book on your body?
