POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Busy show last night at @citysoundchelmsford , as I also covered for Andy McCulloch while he was away, treating the first hour as a homage to Chelmsford as a music venue.

And huge thanks to Rachel Brooks for playing live, and Matt Gates and Andrew Wright who talked about the upcoming @autonfestival at @mettleworks on June 27th.

Here we go! The last week (and a bit) of Holloway goodness for 2025!

On Tuesday night Dave malkin & Louis Campbell are joined by Moya Sweeney and Archie churchllhill moss for a night of folk!

It's a folky start to the week because Wednesday sees Tommy Johnson and Joe Potter heading to the Holloway for more folk!

Friday we have local legends Bag of Cans and Damp Matches for a sold out shindig!

Saturday night the Mighty Psychy Guranfoe return to Norwich! With support from The Fools Moon & Jim Holland!

Sunday we host a Karaoke-mic Christmas special in the basement! 8pm-11! All abilities welcome! All instruments provided!

Then Monday the unofficial official Holloway Christmas party! With yer blooze, Ben Auld and Uncle ferg! 6:30pm!

We're also opening the book shop Thursday night 4pm-9pm! Serving mulled wine and 30% discounts!

And will be back Tuesday 12-5 for any last minute shoppers or any of you just wanting to come share some Christmas joy!

Then that wraps us all up for 2025! We will be back on January 8th after a couple of weeks off!

We already have so many amazing shows booked for 2026! It's gonna be a real belter!

Thanks so much for all your support this year, it means the world and we're already all looking forward to welcoming you back in January!

Merry Christmas!
The Holloway x

OUT NOW :: Guranfoe - Guranjam #15

Yesterday we released an album of improvised music, which we recorded in November at the village hall in Drinkstone, itself a stone’s throw from where I live. Alongside Ryan from Zopp, I guested on this record with the members of psychedelic progressive quartet, Guranfoe. This is a part of what is now a yearly tradition of improvisation. It is their fifteenth record in this vein, and my tenth album overall.

This record marks something of a personal milestone for me. During a period wherein I felt like giving up on making music, discovering the music of Guranfoe (as well as all their affiliates and offshoots) and that of Zopp renewed my faith in what was possible where music was concerned. It ushered in a new phase of my life - one of collaboration, experimentation, and direction. Thus, this is music that I would never have dreamed of having a hand in as a youngster, and it holds an even dearer place in my heart for that. Should you take a listen, I hope you find some nice moments to enjoy. It is available on the “Guranfoe” Bandcamp page, which I shall link to elsewhere.

Personnel (L>R):

Joe Burns - Drums and Production
Samuel Easter - Mixing and Engineering
Ryan Stevenson - Keys (Nord/Mellotron)
Josh Read - Guitar and Venue Scouting
Ollie Snell - Guitar
James Burns - Guitar
Charlie Buckley - Photography and Video
Robin G. Breeze - Bass
