Just like that, HB1222, The Maryland Values Act is officially signed into law! 🙌🏽📜 All those late nights lobbying, testifying, rallying, coordinating, KYR trainings at schools and pressuring our elected officials paid off.

Under this new law, ICE can no longer enter schools, hospitals, churches, or courthouses without a judicial warrant. This is a huge win for immigrant communities across Maryland.

We made this happen through the power of hardworking youth and immigrant families who refused to back down.

Much love and gratitude to @CASA4all for the powerful work you all do day in and day out and for always making sure youth are at the table.

This is what people power looks like. 💪🏽✨
