Howard beats Hampton, 27-13, in the 101st Battle of the Real HU (aka the Truth and Service Classic). 🦬

It’s the second straight win for the Bison in this rivalry and the first under Head Coach and former Howard quarterback Ted White.

The Battle of the Real HU might carry a little extra meaning this year for Howard coaches Ted White, Jimmie Johnson and Keith Pough. They played in this game and know what it means to have bragging rights in this rivalry. 🦬

A huge thank you as always to these players and coaches for their time and perspective! 🙏🏽

There’s no other way to say it.

There’s only one game your average Bison cares about and that’s the rivalry game.

This is our Super Bowl Game.
It’s Always Personal.

YES ITS THAT SERIOUS.

ONE ACCORD.

For the 2026–2027 season, the relationship between Showtime Marching Band and Howard Football will be essential to the success of both programs.

Different roles. Same mission.

We both intend to represent Howard University at the highest level and give Bison everywhere something to be proud of.

This weekend, we’re excited to cheer our team on, bring the SOUND, and give Atlanta a SHOW.

The Tassel Is Worth The Testimony 🎓!

To Every Black Man That Has Crossed The Stage This Season🚶🏾‍♂️… This Moment Is Bigger Than A Degree 📜 . It’s A Declaration 🗣️!

Because The Numbers Tell A Story: In 2024, Only 24.3% Of Black Men Ages 25 And Older Had Earned At Least A Bachelor’s Degree… Yet That Number Has Nearly Doubled Since 2000. And In 2021–22, Black Men Represented Only 8.8% Of Bachelor’s Degrees Awarded To Men In The U.S. 🫣

So When You Walked Across That Stage, You Didn’t Just BeatThe Odds… You Are Became The Evidence 💁🏾‍♂️.

Evidence That The Prayers Worked 🙏🏾!
Evidence That The Sacrifices Mattered 🤌🏾!
Evidence That Black Men Do Graduate 👨🏾‍🎓!
Evidence That Our Stories Are Still Being Written In Excellence ✍🏾!

Your Cap Carries Courage 🎓.
Your Gown Carries Grace ✨.
Your Tassel Carries Your Testimony 🤏🏾.

So Walk Boldly, Brother 🚶🏾‍♂️. Walk For The Younger You Who Needed To See This 👦🏾. Walk For The Family Who Pushed You 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒. Walk For The Ancestors Who Dreamed Of This Moment Before You Ever Had The Language To Name It 💫.

Because The Tassel Was Never Just An Accessory… It Was Proof That The Testimony Was Worth The Test 🎓✨!

CONGRATULATIONS MY BROTHERS 🗣️🎉!
