I was asked by @norelli_tibia and @mikolaj_charlover to make a decoration to @tibiahome 's article about Roshamuul quest items. Among the items they lent me was the nightmare beacon, which reminded me about a deco I did a long time ago on Efidia. I had hung the beacon on the wall when the owner of the house looted a feedbag which was a very new item at the time and which he wanted displayed. When I put the backpack under the beacon I saw a creature forming and when I moved the nightmare claw next to it, I clearly saw a monster eating an apple. Unfortunately noone else seemed to see this, but the idea has stuck with me ever since. I'm glad I finally got a chance to work more on this idea and try to make it clearer, although the resulting monster turned out to resemble a SpongeBob-esque Bigfoot more than a fierce monster xD And yes, I could have used a nightmare horn for the mouth, which would have been more appropriate for the theme, but I really like this combination and the facial expression it gives. The second creature is a result of me playing around with the remaining items in the remaining space. When I placed the cluster of solace under the nose the creature clearly resembled a very hungry walrus. Poor guy!

This is part 4 of my description of Luminous Arc 4, Premia.

The southern part of the upper floor holds the private chambers: a luxurious bath-and-bedroom with a feminine dressing room. The lady of the house wished for a girly room, but I opted for "feminine elegance" since I don't do girly very well. The main features in the rooms are the carpets. I wanted warm, rich colours which would have been very expensive had these been real carpets in a real castle. I made sure to keep a lot of white space between the zones to keep the large rooms calm and airy.

At the start of the project I was cursing the stark white walls and floors of Yalaharian architecture, but I came to appreciate them as background and frames for my colourful deco :)

This is part 3 of my description of Luminous Arc 4, Premia.

The upper floor is quite a contrast to the deeper, darker colours of the ground floor. The little hallway opening to the terrace has been decorated as a chill-out room to retreat to on hot days with cold drinks and even colder beds. The carpet here is made of various pieces of crystals and ice and is sure to keep your toesies cold in even the hottest tropical heatwave.

The double door leads to a vast terrace where I have attempted to create an exotic and romantic secluded oasis. I have kept it in warm vibrant tones of oranges and reds with some pops of purple to liven it up a bit. I wanted it to look like a lived-in terrace that has evolved over time, with mismatched furniture and a variety of flower pots. The North West corner is ruled by Pierre the monkey who fiercely guards his bucket of bananas.

As a side note I would like to mention that I had just finished this terrace when Cipsoft's scandalous flower pot schism of February 2021 was foisted upon us, resulting in me having to redo everything in a less satisfactory manner. Totally pointless and unforgivable. Nor shall I ever forgive them for completely ruining the delicate, pretty and extremely useful glooth farina, which now looks like some cheap plastic foliage with glitter. Shame. Shame! Ring the bells.

This is part 2 of my description of Luminous Arc 4, Premia.

I wanted to give the little ante chamber a feeling of intimacy and anticipation, as it both leads to the throne room and to the private parts of the royal residence, and entering here would be considered a privilege. The deep red colour of the carpet is both regal and passionate, and gives a hint to the style on the upper floor.

The throne room is a dark and awe-inspiring place with a very prominent Throne of Bones and a menacing Royal Vizier lurching in the corner. I would normally have built the throne out of bear skeletons, but this proved difficult to do in Yalahar. (Yes, I have spent hours upon hours to try and get the bear skeleton from the Alchemist Quarter into the main city, even though I know it can't be done. If anyone has a solution, please let me know.) Instead I constructed the throne out of bones of Zorvorax and other little bone pieces. The shape of the room was also rather tricky with white corners showing between the dark carpets. The solution here became to cover the corners with decorative pillars made of human skulls. The little bone medallions on the carpet leading to the throne are the same that I made for The Bonecarver Lady's lair, but here I think they look like fleur-de-lit and fit rather nicely.
