WARM ME × @gutoggau – 48 hours in the vineyard in Burgenland, Austria 🌱

Burgenland – where you get rooted. With our friends at the biodynamic winery Gut Oggau we spent 48 hours working the vines: a partner who shares our values of craft, patience and respect for nature.
Now that wine is finally in the bottle. A return to permanence – in the glass as in cashmere.

The full story (plus a tree named Rooty) is on our Substack – link in bio.

I have always had a penchant for a wine label. I am a magpie for a curious design. Usually shared with my incredible winemaking friend @swanaford - also the best neighbour a hotel could want! - but i think it’s time y’all see them too. This is “winifred” by @gutoggau . Purchased through @dynamic_vines our wonderful wine supplier for Weeke Barton. A good opener as you might notice a likeness! Thats me - the lesser spotted hotelier. She was young, fresh and fruity. Thats where the likeness stops!!

The temperature dropped and there’s a NEW moon tonight! Our plan is to rest and reset with a piece of cozy cheese and herbal libation! We just got our wheel of the famed @challerhocker Halloween edition! Pair it with a bottle of @gutoggau Gut Feeling n/a botanical beverage made with herbs and plants that grow around their iconic biodynamic vineyard!

Curl up with a wedge and a bottle and set new intentions as the lunar cycle begins anew! 🌑🌱

This month we’re celebrating one of our favourite wine producing nations, Austria, with a focus on the contrast between the OGs who paved the way and the new wave. We will be pouring by the glass- Nikolaihof, biodynamic pioneers since the 70s, alongside Gut Oggau and Moric, two of our most loved producers redefining what Austrian wine can be.
