‘Taking the Leap’ was shot a little over a year ago. It’s premiering at the Mountain Craft Film Festival in Clarksburg, WV the first weekend of October— super thrilled to show it at home. Come support a great festival! @mtncraftfilmfest

So happy with how it turned out. Such a great group of friends and family that came together to make it happen. Thank you to all the donors, I couldn’t be more grateful to everyone involved.

new photo project 🌟 im exploring the idea that the eyes distract more than they reveal, by asking friend and strangers alike to pose with me with their eyes shut. Eyes, while revealing so much, pull the view of a portrait into a singular focal point. What will people see or notice about someone when the face is turned into a 2 dimensional space, into a landscape, with nothing to fall into?

I plan on taking several hundreds of these - they are a great way to talk to strangers, and the eyes closed element seems to open up people more candidly. There definitely is an element of silly that causes a more candid expression, or helps people feel more at peace with posing. Interesting to see how the people I photographed held their faces so differently with the same request!

Hope you enjoy !!
