Based on a design found in the F Steiner & Co archive that features documents dating back to the late 18th century, ‘Fretwork’, a wonderful geometric print from @guygoodfellowcollection is new textile with an intricate, repeating tile pattern that’s an ideal backdrop to contemporary spaces with mid-century furniture, limed finishes, plaster and oak.

Seen here in the Mole colorway, ‘Fretwork’ is available in four other colourways – Candle Wax, Lichen, Pistachio and Sea Foam.

TAKE THREE…I’m so pleased to share news that three of my articles are featured in this month’s magazines.
In Country Homes & Interiors, I’ve written about how interior designer @hannahllewellyninteriors transformed a thatched cottage, in an idyllic riverside location in Devon, for a wonderful retired couple who adore their new-look home. It’s one of the cutest cottages I’ve ever featured!
My Period Living article is about Laura and Jon Cox’s beautiful, historic home and how interior designer @claireordersinteriors sensitively updated their tired Tudor manor house in rural Essex to create a fabulous family home.
Next up is my five-page feature in 25 Beautiful Homes about a Derbyshire home that’s been lovingly transformed by interior designer Nikki Deakin of @ndinterior_design. Spoiler alert - Georgie and Al Loxton and their children (who were living abroad) had never stepped inside the house until the project was finished!
Huge thanks as always to the designers who have kindly shared their projects with me, the homeowners for their interviews, and the magazines for commissioning me.

Sometimes the finishing touches really do make all the difference…

These gorgeous bespoke curtains are handmade in the most beautiful floral fabric from @guygoodfellowcollection , finished with the most fabulous deep teal brush fringe and tassel tiebacks from @samuelandsons

I absolutely love how the contrasting colours work together, especially against those lovely soft blue-green walls.

The soft pinch pleat heading, gently pooling fabric and beautiful decorative trims give these curtains such a wonderfully relaxed, traditional feel.

It’s these little details that make bespoke curtains so special. 🤍

Nearly 20 years of making bespoke curtains and soft furnishings in Oxfordshire, and I still get excited about a gorgeous fabric and a fabulous tassel!

We always design homes to support the way a family truly lives. This young family loves to read, and spend quality time together while also entertaining friends.

We incorporated built-in bookshelves in the study as well as along the hallway leading to the den. A sunny breakfast-room banquette is the perfect place to curl up with a book, while the outdoor living room is just steps away from the media room, making movie nights, football games, and pool days easy to enjoy year-round.
