New from @litespeedbikes is the Pisgah, which is a hardcore hardtail with 150mm front end travel.

It’s a beautiful bike, but not really my bag… one for a @guykestv YouTube video review though?

What do you think?

Wooded dales, Land of Iron, rolling moorland, rugged coastline, railways (used and disused) and champagne gravel.

Stoked to have launched a collection of new gravel routes for the @northyorkmoors. One of the best gravel riding locations in the UK - and plenty more exciting things to come in this space.....

Thank you to the legendary folk who helped make it happen - sharing the backyard and local knowledge.

Beginning in the heart of the Esk Valley at Danby Lodge National Park Centre, this route heads west along quiet country lanes towards Kildale. A challenging climb onto the moorland escarpment leads to the centrepiece of the ride: Blakey Ridge, following the distinctive former railway line across the high moorland to The Lion Inn.

From here, the route joins sections of the Coast to Coast National Trail before descending back into the dramatic landscape of Fryup Dale and returning along the Esk Valley.

It's worth waiting for a clearer day given the exposure on the tops.

Also options to use the Esk Valley Railway to access the route, or jump between stations using the train, around 50 km of riding with 1000m elevation gain.

Esk, Coast and Iron Gravel Explorer - a gravel adventure through the historic “Land of Iron”, linking rugged coastline, rolling moorland and the industrial heritage of the North York Moors.

The route follows quiet lanes, gravel tracks and road sections through woodland, farmland and former mining landscapes shaped by the region’s ironstone industry.

Start from Guisborough Town Centre or @bikescene_specialized, a challenging route with over 1000m climbing through 55km.

The second in this series of new Gravel Explorer routes is the Ingleby Horseshoe Gravel Explorer, starting from Bike Base. The route heads south through Easby and into Ingleby Greenhow before reaching the centrepiece of the ride: the Ingleby Horseshoe.

This gravel section features long, flowing stretches of "champagne gravel" before emerging at Bank Foot and returning to Gribdale via Guisborough Forest and Roseberry Common.

Inspired by Ingleby's unique landscape, the 34km route features around 600 metres of climbing.

Can a thrift-build hardcore hardtail based on a year 2000 entry level steel Kona compete with a modern trail bike?

Watch the vid and get my take!
