Well this is my first Instagram post so…. Hello! I had a wonderful time with these idiots in Lawrence. Camped in a beautiful spot, explored downtown Lawerence and had an amazing experience. Here’s to the next adventure!

Our annual walk to see the daffodils on the first day of spring. 🌼🌱☀️ And a little crossin’ the crick for fun.

Venus was a tiny kitten when we brought her home with her littermate Cleo in fall 2007 to join our other cats Sphynx and Athena (3 years old). I was pregnant with AJ at that time. She was the most feisty of our 4 cats. She earned the reputation of being the “mean” one. Sphynx passed in 2015 and Athena in 2019. Cleo and Venus stopped getting along as they aged. When I moved into an apartment in 2020, Venus came with me and began to thrive as a “single” cat. It became clear she enjoyed being solo, probably so she could get all the attention. 😆Venus loved to play inside boxes 📦 (what cat doesn’t?) and with shoestrings and she could never be without her beloved catnip-filled carrot 🥕(a gift from Ryan).

Today, AJ & I made the very difficult decision to have Venus euthanized. 💔 She was in pain. 😢 But she’s over the rainbow bridge now and no longer suffering. 🌈🐱 She had a long life filled with cuddles, treats and zoomies. We will miss you so much, Venus. We love you. ❤️
