Some ideas need open air.

Artemis is a 9-day residency for women centred around landscape, ingredients and flavour — moving through foraging, gardening, fermentation, preservation, distillation and R&D, alongside mentor-led sessions with leading professionals across different fields.

A space to slow down, learn through practice, exchange knowledge and follow ingredients from where they grow to what they can become.

The final result of our first Artemis Residency.

Eleven drinks built around seasonal produce and the ingredients we spent two weeks foraging and preserving.

Our collection—made by women who grew, harvested, and cared for these ingredients from the ground up, then took the space to work, experiment, and think with nature.

A few weeks ago I went to Portugal as a photographer to document the Artemis project Vol.I:

Not only the pictures don’t do any justice to the beauty of this project but they sadly do not convey the magical feeling I felt witnessing what @constancacordeiro has once again created: bringing together three women from different nationalities and backgrounds, co-living for ten days, learning from each other’s experiences, exploring flavours, nature and beauty.

Long live creative humans that dare to question the already established limits 🧚🏼‍♀️

Growth and comfort do not coexist.

Idealizing a new project is one of my favourite things.
Execution is an entirely different story. Some expectations are met, a lot of mistakes are made, and everything is actually much harder than expected.

And then, somehow, once it’s over, you romanticize the whole thing and do it all again.

I’ve never given birth to a child, but this is what I usually hear from people who have.

Maybe creating something new is a little like giving birth: you forget how painful the process was because, somehow, the result makes you want to do it all over again

There is so much value in open conversation.

To our mentors, thank you for bringing your knowledge, experience and generosity to Artemis Residency. Taking the time to engage with us so openly, share your perspectives and create space for meaningful exchanges.

This week reminded us that learning is as much about the people as the skills we practice.
