The Vernon Spring & Gwilym Gold – Still [LP]

A new mix for @whenwedip ‘s Dancefloor Romancer series 💎

Recorded at @mogafestival in Caparica this year. Almost 40 minutes of ambient before the first kickdrum. I’ve always felt that the opening slot is about setting the mood and creating the space for what’s to come, so be patient with this one 💕

UKAT will return in 1 week, with applications for Phase Two open on Wednesday 26th August 2026.

UKAT’s core mission is to help address financial pressures facing artists touring in the UK, and we’re here to support all artists, from all genres, from all backgrounds, and all regions.

We’re here to ensure that funding reaches every part of the UK’s rich and diverse music ecosystem, from electronic artists to drill, and from metal to jazz. Whether you are an emerging artist, mid-career, or established but financially constrained, we want to hear from you.

And with UKAT’s Access Fund, access, caring, or childcare needs needn’t be a barrier to touring.

While competition for funding will be strong in Phase Two, we encourage anyone who is eligible and experiencing a touring shortfall to apply. This way, we can:

- Support the development of artists’ careers
- Bring live music to new audiences
- Power the supply chain of personnel and services that rely on live activity

Stay tuned for further updates and full eligibility criteria and guidance on how to apply, available via the UKAT Hub (link in bio). FAC PRO Members will be the first to receive updates.

A round up of Phase One of the UK Artist Touring (UKAT) fund

Phase One of the UKAT fund has supported 26 artists across 211 tour dates.

It has helped artists take their tours to cities and towns that are often left off traditional touring routes, while also benefitting the wider ecosystem, from musicians and managers through to promoters, agents and venues.

The fund allows artists to present their live shows as intended, without having to scale back their creative vision due to cost.

The UKAT fund strengthens the pipeline of future talent and sustains established artists with vital, targeted financial interventions, helping audiences access live music, and boosting the UK’s live music ecosystem.

While Phase One demonstrates real impact, there is still significant need as we look ahead to Phase Two.

Following the announcement of the 26 artists selected for Phase One of the UK Artist Touring (UKAT) fund, we’re excited to continue building a programme that tackles the growing “cost of touring crisis” facing UK artists.

Developed by the FAC in partnership with the Music Managers Forum and Musicians’ Union, and funded through contributions collected by the LIVE Trust, the initiative has already helped support 211 grassroots and mid-sized venue shows across the UK.

FAC CEO, David Martin outlines ambitions to expand and evolve the fund into a permanent, continuously rolling support programme reaching even more artists, genres and regions in the years ahead.

“As well as supporting these 26 brilliant artists, UKAT’s model will ultimately benefit the entire ecosystem, from backing musicians and managers, through to promoters, agents and venues.

Going forward, our ambition is now to accelerate and evolve the fund. We want to help even more artists from all genres, backgrounds and regions, and ensure UKAT becomes a permanent and constantly-rolling support programme.”
