Have you been to Qatar before?

We visited recently for a medium length transit and couldn't resist dining out @gymkhanadoha.

The London original @gymkhanalondon is world-famous, two Michelin-starred and next to impossible to book a table. Thankfully, the Doha branch is easier for securing a table. The decor is dripping with elegance with a showpiece chandelier that demands attention.

The open kitchen is great for appreciating the meticulous attention to detail from their kitchen team led by the incredibly talented @chefvinietsinghchoudhary.

Most dishes are similar to London. The signature poppadoms with the vibrant chutneys are unmissable. The aloo chaat is a burst of enticing flavours with hot, cold, spicy and sweet elements.

Scrambled eggs is delivered in luxury fashion with their duck egg bhurji with lobster and paratha. Some dishes are different like the wagyu cheek vindaloo. The London version uses pork and I would say the Doha version is even more superior with melt-in-your-mouth high-quality Wagyu.

The restaurant is part of @katara.hills. It's the perfect kind of upscale, discreet resort that must be top of your considerations if you ever visit Doha.
