Last Sunday, the public program combining film &installation art&music, organized by me, was finally unveiled to the public! Special thanks for the wonderful crew!(Installation: @gypsy_dfc Speakers: @ssbebop46 @loulou_uol Music: @kaneda_xiufeng）And the great photograph support @p1ny1_ @guanxin7144 :P

In “The Mute Lover” installation(P8-9), artist set up a continuously breathing LED light as the visual endpoint of “In Hiding” exhibition(P7-9), attempting to present “the deepest, unsayable vitality in human heart”,and this is where the program embark on.

Before this program, I’ve long been thinking about how our original genuineness slowly disappears over time. How far have we drifted from it? How did that distance form, and is it something we should try to bridge?

After collaborating with Gypsy, other questions emerged: how do we grow from babbling infants into adults whose language is shaped by rules, boundaries, and power? How do we become filled with conclusions and full stops, rather than curiosity and questions?

In Aftersun, a daughter comes to understand her late father more fully through old videotapes—frozen fragments of memory. Similarly, in the installation, the artist “retrieves” his own past. The flickering LED light becomes a synecdoche for human vitality itself: a primal, continuous breath.

This is where the theme of “Between Memory&Illusion” , given by the two speakers, naturally meets the installation’s connotation. Reconnecting with our memories is a meandering, constant experience, but well, it’s interesting.

Performative video art
Concept:
The moment when the tide slips
We saw
The birth of Light
This time
We finally gave up language.
Maybe humans will have
thousands of tentacles hereafter
But we can never touch each other.
