Not enough slides to fit all the wonderful things I've been apart of this year. I'm so thankful to everyone I've worked alongside in 2023, it's by far been the best year of my life and I wanted to share some of the highlights! ❤️

After completing a 3 month residency with @goodeyeprojects in 2022, I started 2023 with a group show at @christiesinc (slide 2).

I showed at @arc.salon for 6 months in the Cotswolds from Jan and was lucky enough to stay with the other artists for the weekend! (Slide 3).

In June I was hanging my degree show ('Screen As') with 8 brilliant artists. In July, I graduated from @csm_news after 5 years of study (which is what bought me to London at 18). I was shortlisted for the Barry Martin painting prize, the Cass Art award and won the @lvmh Maison Zero sustainability award alongside @andie.aylsworth. My work (slide 4) was collected by the CSM archive which was (and is) incredibly flattering.

In August, I showed in 'Intuition Goes Before You' curated by my dear friend @vittoria.beltrame at @brushes_with_greatness (slide 5) and in 'Pleasure', curated by the wonderful @freddie_foulkes at @h.m.electric (slide 6). I was photographed and interviewed by the talented @ellie.letchford for her magazine, 'Wired Up' (slide 1).

My first solo (!) with @theforesproject ('Lesbian Trucker Paintings') which was a dream come true and I am so grateful to the many people that came and saw the show while it was on through to December (slide 7).

@artonapostcard was one of the most rewarding projects I've ever worked on, curated by @veritybabbsart. It's not often the work I make can directly benefit such an important cause (The Hepatitis C Foundation).

'Professional Girl Guide' is set to go to press in 3-4 months! Thank you to everyone that has supported by ordering a copy (slide 8).

I didn't think I'd have my very own studio in 2023 (slide 9, featuring a Lego door sign I made at 13). It's a dream to have my very own space to make my work- thank you to everyone who supported my practice in 2023. I have shows coming up early 2024 and will be sharing details soon!! 🔨🌟 Eva on a magazine cover, holding her hat with her eyes closed. The title reads "Wired Up".

Originating from her interest in construction, Eva Dixon’s practice plays with the aesthetics of liminality, of spaces in the making. Voids are juxtaposed with substance, and a roughness and rawness of delivery is juxtaposed with intricate detail.

Exhibited alongside work by Nick Aliberti and William Van Hoorn.

‘TIS THREE WEEKS TODAY !!!!

5th October 2023 sees the opening of ‘Pleasure’, a two week long exhibition of photographs, paintings, and sculptures by seven fantastic artists: Louise Melchior, Eva Dixon, Chris Moon, Mia Casati, Nick Aliberti, Anna Kowalski, and William Van Hoorn.

At its core concerned with the age-old relationship between the three disciplines, ‘Pleasure’ sees never before exhibited work by each of the artists gracing the walls of HM Electric, 67 St Helens Gardens, W10 6LL.

Private View: 5th October, 6-9pm
