You can tell a lot by what someone holds close to them. Happy opening to Spring Awakening at @uniinterptheatre and congratulations on a sold out weekend! I am so proud of you all. Spring Awakening, directed by Sam Trumpold, written by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik. Spring Awakening explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood as a group of young people struggle with questions of morality, sexuality and self-identity. The same story that has captivated audiences since the 1800s is being told again, now crafted under very different circumstances. A punk/rock and roll musical with a story grounded in how we overlook and underestimate our youth, Spring Awakening is not afraid to tell the world around us: “The youth will not be ignored.” May 2nd, 3rd at 7:30p, May 4th at 2:30p in Lang 040. All seats currently sold out. Content Warning: Spring Awakening contains mentions of abortion, verbal and sexual abuse, as well as depictions of suicide, partial nudity, and sexual content. Spring Awakening is not recommended for audience members under the age of 13. Photos by Sam Trumpold Light Design by Finn Coons Costume Design by Angel Maynard
