Burned-out human takes the leap and moves West, finding unbridled joy: a scrapbook

I could write a long essay about the impact the last six months have had on me but I’ll save that for my journal. Mainly, I want to acknowledge my gratitude for the job that brought me out here, the friends who encouraged me to apply and then take it, and everyone I’ve crossed paths with since. I’ll always miss Chicago but I couldn’t be more sure that this was the right move (pun intended).

As expected, the outdoor climbing is spectacular and the gym scene here has pushed me in new ways as a routesetter. Less expected, I joined a pool league team and also got really into gravel biking! Like, so into it that I signed up for my first race and kind of won. Am I officially a multi-sport athlete?

Looking forward to everything that could possibly come next. Very glad to be here.

~ Appreciating every new adventure 🧗‍♀️ You never know what to expect at Vedauwoo, but that’s what makes it special. It was a fun day with some rad friends. 😊 Wyoming is beautiful ~

~ I’m very thankful for the many years spent long-boarding with my cousins as a kid. I’m excited to explore skateboarding more though. It is a totally different feeling, and requires a stronger head game I would say. Just having fun with the process 😊 Also, trying to save some bees that weren’t doing too hot on the pavement. We have to help the little ones too! 🐝 ~
