*Help bring 11 Women of Kamathipura to perform at India's Biggest Stage*

Who are we? We are Haan Hum. We are an all-women community arts collective based in Kamathipura, Mumbai. Our collective is made up of sex workers and women artists who come together through theatre, painting, clay, movement, and storytelling. We started in 2022 with a small art workshop and a big question: what happens when the sex workers of Kamathipura tell their own stories, in their own voices, through their own art? Four years later, we have our answer...

The only way I can love you now is to paint you. I lost my friend today and gained an angel. Rest in Peace Munni (aka) Mangala, my sister, my love, my friend. A long time @haanh.hum participant.
Munni loved Guide songs. She is grieved and celebrated by all of us at Haan Hum 💙
Somehow She feels closer now.

Mumbai Arts & Health Festival highlights

Another vibrant audience gathered at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, where they shared the film with a room filled with artists, therapists, pedagogues, cultural patrons, and friends of the movement. The screening became a space for reflection, connection, and affirmation made even more special by the generous words and blessings from members of Haanh Hum.

Thanks to our collaborating organisations and practitioners

Deep gratitude to the leadership team, volunteers, collaborating institutions, practitioners, and community members whose dedication has made this inaugural edition of the Mumbai Arts & Health Festival possible.

The festival is inspired by the Global South Arts & Health initiatives, founded by the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, and continues the movement to embed creativity at the heart of public health across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the middle east .

Opening your heart to let people in, also means risking it to get broken.
I am heartbroken. But i am glad i got precious moments with you creating and performing together as sisters.
Rest in peace Marupa.
We hope to carry your joy and your art forward 💙

💙 Consuming art is as important as creating it.
@haanh.hum participants watched and reflected on the installation of Landscape Plays by Heiner Goebbels
at @bdlmuseum

There is no High art, low art. Everything is art.
Art is everything.
