✨We considered bottling Dark Matter for our first time but we have too much interest in it so it’s going to be on draft at a few locations. Dark Matter is a small batch imperial stout so it will be a limited release. ✨ ☕️Huge thank you to Theory Coffee for this special blend of beans. This stout is going to be legit! ☕️

Howdy partners! What a year it has been in the land of the Fresh Hop. Today it’s time to announce the Champion of the 2026 Fresh Hop Rodeo.

Well, you’ve seen the image in the post, so no need to keep you waiting: give it for Radiant Beer from Anaheim, California! Their entry, No Palm Trees, made them the Round 2 victor, and now your 2026 Champion!

Congrats to Radiant, and to our runners up: Shrine Brewing and Uprise Brewing.

Here’s a recap of the finalists:

Champion: Radiant Beer in Anaheim, CA
Entry: No Palm Trees
Radiant illuminated the Round 2 base of fresh, wet Sauve & Son Mosaic and Van Horn Farms Citra with glowing rays of Black Star Ranch Simcoe, Van Horn Farms Citra, and Haas Krush.

First Runner Up: Shrine Brewing in SLO, CA
Entry: E.T. Cone Home
Shrine built upon the Round 3 base of fresh, wet Tributary Farms Mosaic and Segal Ranches Tangier with a tessellation of Black Star Simcoe, Roy Farms Chinook, Perrault Farms Krush, and even more Segal Tangier.

Second Runner Up: Uprise Brewing in Spokane, WA
Entry: Nice Bolo
Uprise rose to the Rodeo challenge by upgrading the Round One base of fresh, wet C&C Hop Farms Centennial & Loftus Ranches Simcoe with a blend of Fresh AF Roy Farms Strata, Haas Krush, and Black Star Ranch Simcoe.

Hop harvest 2026 was one for the books.

Early mornings, long days, and late nights. All for the love of beer, community, and agriculture. All here, in the Yakima Valley.

These are some of my favorite photos I took this harvest.
Thank you to all the incredible farm workers, growers, brewers, event staff, and of course, all the amazing people that work at @haas_hops, @barthhaas, @barthhaasx, and @hopproductsaustralia, and many other hop merchants. I feel so lucky and deeply proud to work with this crew in this truly special industry.

This was my 5th harvest I’ve been a part of, but my first with @haas_hops.

On to the next 🍻

All of these were taken on the Canon R5 Mk II and DJI Mavic 3 Pro.

What a time, what a place, what a vibe - hop harvest 2026 in the Yakima Valley was a special one.

Aren’t they always special, though? The shared megawatts of energy, the SMELLS, the community, the collaboration, the enjoyment of the fruits of everyone’s labor is always something unlike anything else. I hope I captured a bit of that in these photos from this year’s harvest.

I feel so lucky to be part of this incredible community of farm workers, growers, brewers, and the awesome people I get to work with every day at @haas_hops. This was the 5th harvest I’ve been a part of, but my first at Haas, and I’m proud to be a small part of the JIH crew.

CY26 - Two nights in Yakima touring farms, rubbing incredible hops, surrounded by awesome industry peers and friends.

Completed selection for 7 varieties (and added on a couple of special ones for some limited releases)

Cannot wait to get these lots into some beer. Also shoutout to @jacksonhopfarms as we selected blind 3/4 lots at Yakima Chief from them. I'm not sure what's in the water in Idaho but I need to check it out!

We had such a wonderful time in Yakima, Washington for Hop Harvest!

A huge thank you to MJF for giving us this incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and experience the other side of making the beer we love. From smelling hops, seeing it grow up close, to connecting with the people behind the hops and other brewers, it was an experience we won’t forget.

We came home with more knowledge, new friends, and great memories.
