We support research, education, and other charitable activities that validate the positive impact the human animal bond has on all of us.

Shoutout to the four-legged therapists who work 24/7, accept payment in treats, and have absolutely no respect for personal space. 🐾💛

But seriously, there’s actual science behind how much our dogs do for our mental health!

Research from the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) shows that our pets can help reduce stress, ease loneliness, improve our mood, and give us a greater sense of purpose and connection.

Sometimes it’s the companionship, sometimes it’s the daily routine, and sometimes it’s simply having someone who is ridiculously happy to see you walk through the door.

They may not fix all our problems, but they certainly make the difficult days a little easier.

🗓️ With World Mental Health Day tomorrow, it’s a good reminder to appreciate the four-legged family members who do so much for our emotional well-being. 💛

Tag someone whose dog deserves a raise! 💛

The NAVC team spent some time this week in Washington, D.C., advocating for our veterinary community and the animals they care for. We met with Senators, State Representatives, and their staff to discuss key pet/vet legislation and raise awareness for the human-animal bond. These meetings were made possible by our partners at @habrigram and we were honored to be part of this important day. #PetWeekonCapitolHill 💙🐶🐱

Animals are vital helpers in the story of our mental health journey! 💚

P.S. Please don’t fret! I don’t cook for people in Kissin’ Kat Barlow’s anxiety home 😹🏡

Video Description:
Mychal worries often about leaving the stove and oven on, worrying if he did or didn’t unplug something. His mind races and spirals. His cat, Kissin’ Kat Barlow, has a unique way of trying to help him with his struggling mind. He reveals her to be lying down nonchalantly on the stove. She looks on curiously as Mychal asks therapists and psychiatrists if she is really helping with her antics. He recognizes she’s only trying to help, but he still tells her to stop.

It’s not every day you get to build a 10-foot yellow magnetic fridge with an interactive photo-printing booth for your client’s trade show. But for @RealReasonsForPets at Superzoo, we made it happen. 🐶

Truly honored to receive the Human Animal Bond Innovation Award in the International category.

This recognition means something deeply personal to us, but it also means something important for the animal welfare ecosystem.

It tells us that the work of changing how communities understand, value and care for animals is being seen—not simply as a welfare issue, but as part of building healthier, more compassionate societies.

For us, the award is a reminder that meaningful change happens when we bring together technology, community knowledge, culture and, above all, a genuine understanding of the bond between people and animals.

We are grateful to @habrigram for seeing value in this approach. More importantly, we hope this recognition encourages more people across the animal welfare ecosystem to believe that we can think differently, build differently and reach further.

✨ Vegas, baby! ✨

The Unspoken Bond hit the Vegas stage and came home with something incredible — we were honored with the Human Animal Bond Innovation in Media Award from the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI)! 🏆

This award recognizes companies and organizations outside the pet care industry that are doing innovative work to advance the human-animal bond and help create a more pet-friendly society. To be recognized among that group means everything to us.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our screening in Vegas, laughed and cried with us, and stuck around to talk after the credits rolled. The connections we made this trip were priceless — and we’re beyond proud to be carrying this story forward with a community like this behind it. 🐾

We’re just getting started — so much more to announce in the coming weeks. Stay tuned. 👀
