Driscoll’s CEO winced on live TV while eating his own strawberry, and the berries behind that bite are now at the center of a class-action lawsuit.

The case, Berlinger v. Driscoll’s, was filed on June 26, 2026, in federal court in Northern California. It points to lab testing made public by Mamavation in May 2026, which found 12 pesticide residues on Driscoll’s conventional strawberries, and 8 of them were PFAS forever chemicals.

If you have strawberries at home, wash them in baking soda and water for 30 seconds before you eat them.
