FEVER DREAM

A few days ago, we were just six musicians from Chicago flying across the country hoping LA would give us a chance.

Now we’re heading home wondering when we can come back.

What a fever dream.

Los Angeles, thank you for embracing Attack the Sound. For the conversations, the new friends, the lessons, the people who showed up, and everyone who made a city 2,000 miles away feel a little more like home.

There was something about this trip that felt different.

Like maybe there’s a little magic for ATS out West.

@hackysax — from newsletters and interviews to helping make the full Jam in the Van experience happen, you were instrumental in this entire chapter. Thank you for believing enough to help us get into rooms we hadn’t been in before.

@klingenbass and @kyle_j_barnett — learning a whole set of original Chi-Pop songs on short notice is no small ask. Thank you for jumping into our weird little musical universe and helping us bring these songs to life. 😂

Next trip, maybe we’ll actually let y’all learn a cover or two.

@jaminthevan @jaminthevanradio @themintla — thank you for giving this independent Chicago band a place to show up as ourselves.

We came to LA wanting opportunities.

We’re leaving with experience, relationships, lessons, new fans, new friends, and an even bigger vision for what Attack the Sound can become.

That’s worth more than I can put into one caption.

To everyone who discovered us this week: welcome.

If you’re a working dreamer, a hopeless romantic, someone figuring life out in real time, or just somebody who still believes a live band can make you feel something…

You’re in the right place.

This wasn’t the victory lap.

It was the introduction.

See you again soon, Los Angeles.

Next time, let’s make it bigger.

Chicago, we’re coming home. ❤️

Attack the Sound forever.

I got through the door. Now it’s your turn. 😂

Attack the Sound is coming from Chicago to perform at The Mint in Los Angeles this Friday, and we are shamelessly asking you to help us fill the room.

Come for the music. Stay for a drink. Introduce yourself after our set. This trip is about building real connections—not just collecting views from another city.

🎵 The song in this video is “Don’t String Me Along.” Stream it on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, or Bandcamp before the show.

📍 The Mint LA
🗓 Friday, July 31
🚪 Doors at 7 PM
🎤 We perform at 8:15 PM

Grab your ticket and come meet us.

The older I get… the more I appreciate moments like this.

Seventeen years ago, Attack the Sound was just an idea.

A group of friends.

A few songs.

A lot of hope.

On July 30, we’ll be recording a live session with Jam in the Van in Los Angeles.

For independent artists, it’s one of those opportunities you dream about long before you know if it’s even possible.

This isn’t the finish line.

It’s another reminder that showing up consistently can take you places you never imagined.

Thank you for being part of this story.

🎥 Follow Jam in the Van on YouTube to catch the session when it premieres.
