I’ve had two new micros published in October! this is my 3rd story in the beautiful @bulbregion and my 8th in long time favorite @hadhavehadhave. so grateful as always to wonderful editors @sarpsozdinler & @aaron__burch + all you lovely people who take the time to not only read my tiny fictions but also tell me about it & share with others. you’re the best. also fun this month was an awesome writer & librarian posting that she had her library order my story collection Turmeric & Sugar (@thirtywestph) & shared a photo of it as a library book in Nebraska ♡

shoutout to @lex.rosen for this constraints submission call, got me to write a Georges Perec “A Void” tribute in which no letter A’s appear in the piece. always wanted to try something like this!

new shortie out in @hadhavehadhave today!!

it’s a tiny scene from a novel i’ve been working on called Reggie, about a woman of the same name, her addictions, her mental illnesses and her love of cartoons

thank you @burialmagazine for picking this one up and tapping in with the most iconic yet extremely overrated diner in Chicago 😭

gonna be doing a crazy ton of readings around Chicago and the Midwest in a few weeks! stay tooned!

Earlier in July, @hadhavehadhave published a poem from my forthcoming collection, and I’m still so grateful it found a home there.

One of my favorite things that’s happened since is that Raquel Alves @rakeol translated the poem (and two other poems of mine) into Portuguese and generously shared it with me—and gave me permission to share it with you.
Seeing my work exist in another language is a kind of magic I don’t think I’ll ever get used to. Thank you, Raquel 🤍
