When every surface is Farrow and Ball's Oval Room Blue, the fittings have nowhere to hide. Polished Brass was made for a room like this.

@hadleywiggins_ designed this Hamptons kitchen for hoteliers Sarah and Andrew Wetenhall as part of the restoration of an 1890s Queen Anne-style cottage. Three of our fittings run from one end of the kitchen to the other.

Another wonderful Badass Women in Design evening celebrating the crossover between art, fashion, and design. So grateful to the incredible women who joined us for such a special night, you all continue to inspire with your creativity, talent, and perspective. A huge thank you to @amelieduchalard for welcoming us into her beautiful New York gallery. And somehow, The 1818 Collective brought together exactly 18 badass women - how serendipitous is that? 🤍

This 1800’s farmhouse had me at the @louisvuitton vintage suitcase and the riding boots! Add to it the stunning #midcenturymodern furniture and the vintage kilim rug, and I’m in heaven. Every aspect of this gorgeous space designed by @hadleywiggins_ and featured by @home_decor_daily and @countrylivingmag is intentional and full of design inspiration. The large striped vintage kilim rug is very similar to three favorites from our collection. Swipe to see these 3 gallery size beauties, perfect for large hallways, rug layering or to define long and narrower spaces. All on sale for 50% off. Which is your favorite?

Why Everyone is Obsessed with Color Drenching Right Now 🧽✨
If you are still painting your walls one color and keeping your trim, baseboards, and ceiling a stark white... this is your sign to step into the dark side.
We are officially moving away from cold, uniform look-alike spaces and leaning into the ultimate cozy sanctuary vibe: moody quiet luxury home styling.
Enter the power of a fully drenched study. 📚🍷
By painting your walls, trim, doors, built-ins, and even the ceiling in a single, deeply saturated hue—like this stunning espresso and velvet-toned plum—you instantly create a deeply comforting, enveloping "hug" effect.
But the secret to breaking up all that intense color? Curated artwork. 🖼️
Layering art over color-drenched walls creates an incredible visual anchor. Best of all, you don’t need a luxury budget to achieve this look. I love downloading open-source public domain artwork from museum archives and printing them locally on high-quality paper.
To see exactly how this works, swipe to Slide 2 & 3 for two perfect options from the Metropolitan Museum of Art:
🖤 To keep that moody dark atmosphere: Look for a piece like The Farrier by Aert van der Neer (early/mid-1650s). Its rich, deep tones melt beautifully into a saturated wall.
✨ To lighten things up a bit: Try a classic sketching series like One of the Hours Holding the Bridle of a Horse of the Sun by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo (ca. 1750–53). The brighter contrast gives the room breathing room.
👇 Would you ever brave a fully drenched plum room, or are you keeping it safe with neutrals? Let me know in the comments!
