Last day of our residency at @haendelfest for @eeemerging with a performance at @literaturherbst in the beautiful church of Nikolausberg
We want to thank the team of the Händelfestspiele Göttingen for hosting us this week and giving us so much food for thought and also for art to take away! A special thank to Jochen Schäfsmeier for letting us pick his brain and asking all the questions we had, even the stupid ones. We will miss Göttingen 🧡

Day 3 was all about the work on everything an ensemble needs to deal with other than music. We were talking PR, strategie, sustainability, finances, visions, goals, communication, ideas...
Thanks a lot to Kathrin Hauser-Schmolke and Dr. Axel Roggatz for asking the right questions and sharing their experiences with us. So much food for thought!
Tomorrow will already be the last day. So join us for some music in Nikolausberg :)

Day 2 of our residency at @haendelfest for @eeemerging
We had a full day of very inspiring musical coaching with @locatelli.andres on music by Monteverdi, Mazzocchi and d'India. We dove into the history of the Gonzaga and Baberini families influences on art of the 17th Century and finished the day with a nice glass of italian wine 🍷 (purely for research of course!)

Day 1 of our residency at @haendelfest for @eeemerging
We started the week with an intense and super helpful session with Jochen Schäfsmeier on the business side of running an ensemble.
And in the evening we got to perform to live painting of @annadianda to our music - what a special experience!
Thanks to everyone who came to paint and listen. And to @kaz_goettingen for hosting us at Junges Theater Göttingen 🤩

🎧 Something is coming… our very first podcast!

‘hEEElp, we’re starting an ensemble!’ is an audio guide for emerging early music artists 🎧🙏

Do you want to start an early music ensemble? From the first artistic idea to finding your identity, building your first programmes to getting your first opportunities, there are countless questions… and very few instruction manuals!

Alma, a young musician who has just finished her studies in Early Music at the conservatoire, created an Early Music ensemble with friends, but has no idea what she’s supposed to do to make it work!

This Friday, you’ll get to follow her as she meets other musicians and professionals to discover the key first steps to creating and developing your own ensemble. Through conversations with artists and professionals, each episode offers practical advice and real-life experiences to help you navigate the early stages of an ensemble’s journey.

Across 5 short episodes, she explores artistic identity, first programmes and concerts, communication, visibility, and setting goals for the future. All of this with practical advice, conversations and real experiences along the way!

🎙️ Season 1: Creating My Ensemble
Launching this Friday, on September 25!
Stay tuned 👀

✨ 2026/2027 ✨

A season of many new adventures, as well as returns to dear familiar places and faces. Whilst it’s impossible to pick a favourite, I am particularly jazzed about bringing not one, but TWO commissions to life composed by @kaanbulak and #AriadnaAlsina next spring and consider myself so lucky to have such a diverse menu of repertoire for the year ahead.

May the games begin!

And a special shoutout to friend, colleague, flatmate, human extraordinaire @getoutofmyoctave for helping me make this announcement. 🫶

Göttingen, KW 36. 💜

Macht was draus, jede Stimme zählt. 💜
