We want to wish the happiest of birthdays to our dear friend & wedding photographer!! @ajjordanphoto 📸🥳

We are so grateful @dykedrag connected us in such a serendipitous way, AJ’s talent is out of this world and we are HONORED to have these moments captured so beautifully (had to use the opportunity to share some more - it’s been a year and a half but we still look at them daily!!!) 🥹

AJ, we adore you so much and hope this next year of life brings many more wonderful nights out photographing the cvntiest bitches in Brooklyn & beyond!! 🎂

& Check out @ajjordanphoto for info on his upcoming birthday show - the lineup is elite!!! 🙂‍↕️✨

The next queer space I am featuring for my pride art series is the one & only @gingersbar_brooklyn ✨

For those of you who don’t know, @mxr.axel & I got married by @imbabynyc at Ginger’s for the @dykedrag anniversary show back in February of 2025 (best night ever tbh). We also did drag at Ginger’s for the first time together during Baby New Year in January, so it’s obviously our favorite place in Brooklyn! 🫶

Thank you @gingersbar_brooklyn for being a space that encourages and facilitates queer joy, especially for lesbians. We are forever grateful for the core memories and lifelong friendships that our nights out at Ginger’s have brought us! I LOVE BE GAY!!!!! 💖🧡🤍

One of the things I am most proud of this year is my growth in being seen as an artist in the city, as evident in all of the shows I have helped put on these past 6 months!
Earlier this year I had a total identity crisis, with zero performances the first 4 months of 2025. I felt like nobody saw me as Ariel the artist, who I always felt I was inside. I felt pigeonholed into being Ariel the activist, already a word I hate! (I’m an organizer!) But how could they see me as that? I wasn’t putting my art out there! I realized it was time to take my life into my own hands and dream the spaces I never saw for myself into reality.
In just 6 months, I produced and co-produced 7 shows and through all of the performances I gave (more this past 6 months than my entire 5 years in the city combined!) and events I put on, I was part of incredible teams to help raise over $20,000 for a variety of causes I care about so much, from Palestine to the dolls and even @hotgirls4zohran. I finally feel like I found a way to bring together my creative and political identities, and I am so grateful to everyone who has helped me see that in myself.
Thank you @dykesanddolls and @doll.invasion and @stab.ilify and @cultivate.sass and @8oilydykes for being my partners in (be gay do) crime. Thank you to every audience member who has supported my vision and made these spaces magical. Thank you to every volunteer and guiding light in my life that brought me here. Thank you to every performer who has graced a stage at my shows and for making the revolution irresistible.
To more art and liberation in 2026!

Self-Animal Inventory is getting quoted out in the wild in the form of @mta collisions, @hamiltonmusical references, and screaming. This particular poem is also one of my mother’s favorites of my ‘shouty ones’ and I dedicate it to her every time I perform it. #thisisntfuckingparis #poetry #lovestinks #shouting #summer
