This Saturday come step into a world of color, quirk, and nostalgia hosted by @sonnyshouseof & @natsandme Blast from the Past is a visual time capsule celebrating all the little things that made growing up in the ’90s so special; from our favorite TV shows, toys, snacks, and fashion and everything in between.

We’ve brought together a rad group of local artists, each reaching back into their own childhood memories, and bringing them to life through their art. Come take a walk down memory lane and see what the ’90s looked like through their eyes.

Ring Ring! Your ’90s memories are calling!
Step into a world of color, quirk, and nostalgia hosted by @sonnyshouseof & @natsandme Blast from the Past is a visual time capsule celebrating all the little things that made growing up in the ’90s so special; from our favorite TV shows, toys, snacks, and fashion and everything in between.

Join us for the opening event on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 5–7 PM at Sonny’s House. And in case you miss it, the show will be on view through November 29, 2026.

Hosted by: Natalia Cardona Puerta aka natandme, a Colombian artist based in PDX. Their work draws inspiration from their home country and 90s cartoons. She loves spending her free time either adventuring outdoors or getting cozy at home watching her favorite anime with her cat scoots.

Adam’s aunty fixed up this beautiful cuckoo clock a few weeks ago and his mum brought it up for us this weekend. It’s so charming and feels right at home on our main gallery wall ♥︎

Books with Pictures is such a lovely local independent comic shop, and their con is truly one of the sweetest shows in Portland. It's FREE, kid-friendly, and full of talented comics artists and illustrators selling their prints, stickers, comics, and zines.

For my sweet n powerful beloved @gnomefancy, who said they'd like a silly drawing of their wonderfully weird cat Puddin as a goblin. I pictured goblin Puddin being startled at the start of a cheeky lil snack, because she is startled every 5 seconds but loves affection nonetheless.

art vs artist 2025 ₊✩‧₊˚౨ৎ˚₊✩‧₊ otro año mas que se va!

looking back, becoming, was the main theme of my year. I fell out of love with my art last winter, just to find my spark again during the last couple of months. I fell in love again with my sketchbook, picked up journaling & enjoyed a change of pace. Saw myself shedding a version of myself that I held for the past 9 years. Felt lost, and then found enjoyment on learning how to let go. And above all, I dedicated myself to water the garden that is my life. I took time to nourish my friendships and family. Felt embraced and appreciated by my community. Started my dream job at @outletpdx, and fell in love with riso all over again.

My inner child took the reins for most of this last sun cycle, and I hope she can guide me thru many many more. I rekindled my obsession with anime, started playing d&d, went to my first Ren Fair and even attended my first ComicCon in full cosplay. Y por si fuera poco, I get to end the year back home in Colombia, disfrutando de anclar mi raíces en mi tierra y tomar el sol.

And as the day winds down, I wish you a happy 2026. I wish for this new year to be slow, kind and patient to you, and, that amongst all the darkness, that we can find ways to make each other feel loved.
