Life at present: crazy, insane, out of control busy

Remedy: hop on your bike and ride your heart out for hours with a couple hundred (or thousand) other adventure soul seekers.

Result: heart filling, memory making, body recharging, lactate inducing, good times… and a bonus big check!

Dirt Divas: 2nd Overall Femmes Team. Love my rockstar, powerful, uplifting, kick a$$ teammates @jjyeaton & @maranellmcmanus !

Thanks for the much-needed weekend with family, friends, and miles of dusty dirt smiles @sbtgrvl !

I was given the greatest gift 21 years ago today. Watching you grow from a ‘4 week early’ Itty Bitty to a strong, smart, incredibly talented, kind, thoughtful young woman has been not only a joy that fills every ounce of my heart, but the most special blessing from above. Happy 21st Birthday, my favorite girl, @hailey.mccurdy !

You will always be in my heart, even if the miles and mountains keep us apart. I love you!

A surprise visit from my favorite 1st daughter, Senior prom, a gorgeous morning hike, delightful warm weather picnic, and lots of memory making… Best Weekend this mom could ever dream of! Truly lucky to be these sweet girls’ mom.

For one so small
You seem so strong
My arms will hold you
Keep you safe and warm
This bond between us
Can’t be broken
I will be here, don’t you cry

‘Cause you’ll be in my heart
Yes, you’ll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more

Happy 18th Birthday, baby girl.
While we love celebrating you, we have dreaded this day ever since the day of your diagnosis… the day, the reminder, the hurt deep in one’s heart knowing that not only are we now parents of an adult with special needs, but that you, unlike your 18 year old peers, will never sprout your wings and fly. We will continue to give you the best life we can give, for as long as we can. We love the joy you bring to our world, your fierce hugs, your laughter and mischievous smile… but we hate with every ounce of our soul what your diagnosis has taken from you, from us… and while we have lived our lives to the fullest we knew how over the past 18 years, we wish we could have given you and your sister a simple, easier life than the one Angelman Syndrome made us grow through.

Forever and always,
Your mom and dad
