at grand valley as it is in heaven

Life forever changed by the blood of Christ. Much of my life has been spent living in anxiety, depression, feelings of worthlessness, shame, and feelings so low that I wanted and tried to end my life. I was living my life so far from him, letting the lies that were not from God define who I was and question my existence, the lies that told me I was unworthy, not deserving of forgiveness, unloved, too far gone, too broken, not good enough, and not deserving of life. Then, by the grace of God, I was saved. Not because of anything I could ever do, but because of the blood of Jesus. I felt a sense of peace I couldn’t explain, healing I thought I would never get, and love I never thought I deserved. I am chosen, free, and forgiven, because of what he did on that cross. He took my brokenness, my shame, and my sin, and wiped it clean.

This weekend I got the chance to publicly declare my life to Jesus. I am made new, and my life is living testimony of his goodness. Thank you Jesus for loving me. Thank you for making me new. Thank you for setting me free. Thank you for taking my shame. Thank you for this loving community that reflects your love. Thank you for Grand Valley. Thank you for kamp. Thank you.
